So Fraley didn't need at bats? He had only started for about two weeks at the time. What about Laird? Maybe Kramer Robertson could raise the average? No? None of those guys get to feast on SWAC pitching, only Bregman?
I'd say it's pretty reasonable to think that getting Bregman on a roll was a higher priority.
Hell, I could make a pretty good case that Bregman was the one who was treated unfairly by having to start a game where the other starters were given a rest.

I'm sorry, you are lying. It has happened many times.
And I've seen him do it with other players too. I don't agree a lot with him as an official scorer, but I don't think he's protecting anyone.

Bregman has been nothing short of a garbage can this year
Is this one of those posts that shows how awesome LSU fans are?

Last season was a record year.
Last year was basically the 2011 football season.

But, no, I don't think the team is falling apart from within. The Drama Queens on this board are never happy
Nah man, it has to be a conspiracy. Teams never fall short of expectations. Ever.

No, he is not. Good God, man.

You obviously weren't watching game 1 against Alabama very closely then.
I was sitting behind the LSU dugout for every pitch and every out.
Which one of Alabama's 4 hits that game was really an error on Bregman?

That's exhibit #1. Exhibit #2 can be Bregman's boot with Nola on the mount in game 1 against Bama on Saturday that was ruled a hit by Lazare.

I bitch about him more than anyone not named Hawthorne but I've never noticed how often it is related to Bregman or not.

I can recall a few instances on balls hit to 3B
Posted on 5/12/14 at 11:20 pm to LSURussian
It was either the single by Moore or the single by Smith. I can't recall which one it was off the top of my head. If I had a video feed it would be obvious to everyone.

Alright, im late to the party guys, but i have to agree with choupique and geauxtigers, I dont understand why Bregman hasnt sat a game all year.
Anyone ever thought our struggles come because we havent had the same lineup for an entire week yet? Its hard to get in rhythm when you show up to the park not knowing whats gonna happen.
Also, Has anyone ever noticed Bregman cant throw the ball from anything other than on the run? I realize this makes him quick, but he never fields the ball like an infielder. It drives me insane (in no way am i bashing him for this)

Astro wrote this in the thread you linked about that play when Poche was pitching.
So Astro must be protecting Bregman, too, right?
LSU grad9295 wrote this in that thread 3 or 4 posts below Astro's post.
So your opinion is far from being a consensus opinion.

I only saw the play live, no replay which the official scorer has the benefit of, but my initial reaction was hit. I wouldn't call that play "ordinary effort" had it been made.

You are not alone. That was a hit all the way. And it isn't really close. All the arse-hurt know-it-alls in here would be pissed if the LSU batter didn't get a hit on a similar play. He has access to replay and I know for a fact if it were even borderline, Bryan would have kept the no-hitter alive.
So your opinion is far from being a consensus opinion.

Astro eventually recanted his opinion of that play.

Were people blasting him or something?

If I had video evidence, we'd look at it. That one stuck in my head cause it broke up a no hitter. We have discussed several similar plays in the game threads this year. When in doubt, Lazare does not charge Bregman with an error.

He must have been reading this thread.
Seriously though, if I was a high profile athlete I wouldn't have it at all.
