No one on this planet could have drug Kade off that mound with a team of horses. He was going to finish that game because he wanted to, and he had the right to earn that complete game shutout. He is the ultimate competitor.

If I’m a GM I would love to see what my prospect can do, digging deep in the most important game of his life. 135 used to be the standard for a start, now people act like he’s being asked to stand on one leg for 24 hours.

I've said this before pitch count is so overrated for a guy on full rest which Kade was.
Pitch counts become more of a problem when a guy comes back on short rest without enough time to recover. So yeah if Kade threw 130 pitches then turned around 2 days later and threw 50 more thats a problem. Throwing 130 on full rest isn't.

X is full of MLB only fans that are very critical of the pitch count, but these dumbasses don’t realize college guys go once every 7 days.
The official MLB account actually made a post and the comments are full of butthurt.

only people concerned about that are the GMs/coaches of teams(hopefully not Pittsburgh ,) that have a shot of drafting him
Paul Skenes threw 120 on 4 days rest in the CWS in 2023. I doubt there’s a single person in the MLB that has a problem with 130 on 7 days rest

This board has been dying to find a reason to hate CC ever since we knew we were going to face them

Jay does more and beyond for the sake of the game. He is ALL About the good and respect of the game of baseball, probably as much as any human being on earth.
Costal should schedule a series at Knoxville with Tony & the thugs of college baseball then get back to us with classless identity.

Yep. If they can’t come up with anything better than that then STFU!. Sour grapes always taste really bad!

didn't their starter get to or right at 100?
There's a world of difference between 100 and 130.
That being said, Kade looked fine out there. I'm sure if he was starting to show strain he would have stayed in but he was dealing, felt fine, and wanted to be out there.

They are just upset that no one else from LSU's bullpen was used last night. There is no logical argument for what they are claiming. It’s the championship series, and he still has good velocity. Most likely, this is his last game at LSU, and he’s a competitor. You only pull him if he gets into trouble.

They would have done the same if they could have.

Pitchers? Agreed.
Front offices? Different story altogether. Kade won’t throw 100 pitches again for probably another 3+ years.

Their coach is a bit of a bitch but otherwise they’re fine. He made a comment in the post game about the pitch count too. Basically said that their plan was to take pitches and work the count to get him out but since he was going to throw 130 pitches it didn’t matter.

One of the CC pitchers in the media event said if he had to throw 150 pitches he would

The tiger bait thing is annoying. Can’t go into any bar without a bunch of them screaming tiger bait nonstop at you. The majority of the LSU fans have been good, but the bad ones are some of the worst I have seen in college baseball.
Visited that site. The conversation there is lacking. However, they find it quite offensive and poor sportsmanship that LSU fans shout "Tiger Bait." Wait until they hear "STTDB."
