How many quality coaches beat Bama last year?
So I guess by your criteria Jimbo failed the test...jimbo lost to Bama this year....why hire him?

For starters you can look at their coaching records. For example, Jimbo is a proven coach that has won a National Championship. On the other hand, Orgeron is the worst head coach in Ole Miss history.

Miles eventually earned the job, winning and playing for national titles, beating top ten teams were part of earning it. Such success now is just fantazing
