It is my opinion that Ensminger's weakness isn't in game planning or even in play calling (most of that is a reflection of weaknesses of the OL).
His weakness is in his inefficiency in implementing his scheme. This is a result of his ability combined with his lack of being a coordinator for so long.
Anyone who is complaining about the playbook and simultaneously suggests massive changes doesn't really understand why the great ones make the money that they do. LSU CAN'T simply spread people out and implement the short passing game to a degree that will make a significant difference. To do that successfully would have required the scheme to be implemented months ago by someone who was an expert at that scheme.
Having said that, I have no doubt that Ensminger is working his arse off doing his best to prepare for Auburn.

I've learned in business that if you have to work/live like this to make some kind of deadline or performance objective.....something more important is f'd up in the process.
I've learned that when crunch-time hits, you work 20 hour days, if needed. And the harder you work, the luckier you get. Ming will sleep well on the weekend if LSU brings home that W.
This is a huge game for the success of Orgeron's LSU program. Glad to see Ming stepping up.

Shouldn't he have been working on this offense in the off season, then he wouldn't have to sleep in his office!

Please explain in great detail the difference between RB and HB
H-Back is generally a TE/FB hybrid that lines up 1 yard off the LOS and usually inside the tackle box (example B gap). H backs can be used to kick out on power, block backside of split zone, help in pass protection, ect. H-Backs for the most part are used in Shotgun formations.
Good enough for you?

He’s said this many times before about coach E..

Those guys have been game planning Auburn for months and have submitted that plan to the coaches. Now the coordinators will look it over and then finalize the game plan

Hmmm, another football genius on the ranter board, who could have imagined.
So he is working his arse off to win the game Saturday and you are bitching because he prepared for the wins against Miami and SE La.
If he wasn't putting in the time and effort to win, I imagine you would be bitching about that.
Carry on genius. You know a whole lot more than coaches that have been in the business for 3 or more decades.

Can you please elaborate on this? I don't understand what you mean when you say scheme. What is an example of scheme and how does one implement it?
I hear this jargon all the time when discussing football and I don't understand it.

“ he doesn’t even want the job”
So, Coach O decided to hire an OC who doesn’t want to be an OC? I wouldn’t think that would be a wise decision, but we will soon see.
