They were recruited and signed by Les Miles. Players leaving before or after O getting here has NOTHING to do with Les Miles' recruiting.

My exact quote was:

One(Miles) who did not leave the roster in shape that allows LSU to play up to the lofty expectations the program was once held to.

I am not, and was never, just talking about recruiting. Which leaves the rest of your post pretty much irrelevant.

Thing is, you are even able to see what a lot of these guys turned into. Their recruiting rankings are meaningless when you can actually review how good they were.

If Lester posted such, it would be viewed as an excuse.

Seems to me someone with the recruiting chops Orgeron has would recognize these weaknesses and address them.

Well there are certainly more options than when he took over. The jury is still out. I will judge it accordingly. Ask me in a year

He laughs at the ACC but the ACC champ has beaten the SEC champ in 3 of the last 4 national title games when those conf champs faced each other.

Have to give him a ton of credit for holding together that '17 class as the interim coach in '16. Didn't that class finish #7 or close to that?

Yeah. Sure, he gets credit for that - but the MASSIVE dip that LSU took in recruiting the following year leads me to believe that this year is the first year he has a class that is this high purely on his efforts / under his control.

Are there? For as much as people like to complain about the lack of true OTs, he’s only signed 2, and neither has seen meaningful snaps.

The closest thing we have to top end talent on the DL is Lawrence, and he was a Miles recruit. There are some top end DTs still not signed in this class, but Orgeron has to close on them.

Thanks Roger. My wife thanks you also for making her laugh.

Outside of Clemson there's not much to brag about.

Well shite, Earl. Next time y'all have an argument you can say "but, I'm a reasonable negatiger. Don't you know?"

Thanks Lunatik. I pale in comparison to you as far as being good people and most definitely a good poster.

I appreciate that, Earl. Seems I got lost for a spell, but I thank Groupee for speaking up and letting me know about it.

Most of us do from time to time.

Hell, earlier tonight I actually agreed with Lester Earl. Talk about being lost!

Lester, if you read this I'm joking.

Besides Bama who’s won anything in the SEC? At least Florida State has won it since an SEC team not named Alabama has so dunno where you’re getting that assumption.

Nothing wrong with agreeing with Lester on sports. It's obvious he watches a lot of games and keeps up with a lot of stuff. Judging by his game notes he puts a lot of time and effort into it.

There are very few negatigers maybe a handful. What these guys consider negative is merely factual evidence and a desire to return to at least our normal production for the last 15+ years prior to 0.

I guess the theory is that if you say this enough times people will believe it is actually true.

I've been saying the very same thing for a long time. I would also add that the same is true on the other end of the spectrum and I hate all of those names as well. We all want what's best for LSU.

Rosenthal & Wire are the hopes to develop. Both Freshmen. Of course no meangiful snaps yet. Ask me in a year.

I agree it’s a work in progress. The overall roster construction has improved though. DL is the last of the puzzle.

There’s a big difference though, I called out Miles all the time I called out Saban when he did stupid things as well but these guys are different, they belittle and bash past championship seasons even, and do not allow questioning of this new coach. They refute actual data and facts and constantly chant talking points laced with insults and attacks for anyone who even questions the very shaky job this this regime has done. Basically one side is consistent in their views the other isn’t using double standards and moving the goal posts constantly.
