State is looking close to the bottom of the SEC this year.

No way to project that, especially considering they won 10 of their last 11, including a good win over Southern Miss.

They are better than they have been the last two years. I'd say they are middle of the pack.

But again, regardless of where they are, you're missing the point that it's really fricking hard to sweep on the road, even for elite teams.

Some SEC teams have some elite pitching. There also is some average college pitching going on in the SEC too. The bottom line is that topnotch pitching can win most SEC games. LSU in 2024 has a good list of strong pitchers, deeper than what we had last season.

LSU lost the State series at home in 2023. Will we beat State in Starkville, a better than in 2023 State?

Whites been hit/ing the ball hard, he's just had some bad luck hitting it right at the other team. If only 4-5 of those drop, his average is WAY up.

Hitting over .300 against a lot of teams with a fraction of the talent we have.

Sounds great to me. Would you rather we be sub 300?

What happened when we faced one of the best pitchers in the nation in Texas?

There is a little something missing from this team's identity. They haven't found it yet. We're just spoiled, I suppose.

Is it your goal to just litter every thread with as much negativity as possible? Just curious.

I think lsu should win all three games this weekend on paper

That doesn’t indicate a sweep. If LSU has a 70% chance to win each game their chances of sweeping is 34.3%. Almost a two thirds chance of dropping a game.

Were something like 5th in the loaded sec in batting average. They’ve all played bad talent. Is every team just going to suck once we hit SEC play?

How does thinking LSU has a good chance at sweeping State and thinking LSU can go 20-10 come off as negative?

Are you fricking dumb or stupid?

Yes it is really fricking hard to sweep on the road. I think you're putting too much effort into thinking that ill be utterly disappointed if we come away without the sweep. A series win on the road against a historic program like State is huge in the opening weekend.

well i've been told they're historic. I didn't start watching baseball until this year

i'll just agree with you about it all moving forward

It doesn’t need to be “impressive.” We’re doing what we’re supposed to do, but Pirate King wants to spin that into a negative.

I'm not a Negatiger but some the production lately has been somewhat concerning as compared to the level of pitching they're facing.

He's not a negatiger, but then goes on to say exactly what the negatigers say.

Tanks didn't swing a bat for six months, but has been mashing the ball. They will start to find gaps and the fence soon.

Travinsky will get heated up but he looks good.

Kling, is the one legitimate concern. CJJ many times has called him Crews 2.0. He started the season in a slump and hasn't broken out of it. Hopefully he will. He is not seeing the ball well.

Ole not hit a curve ball Jones, has been hitting curveballs and lead the team in homers. His eye has gotten better this year.

If anybody was expecting this team to mash homers and 10 run everyone then you weren't paying attention to what we lost and what we have.

What we have is some veteran guys that will hit better when it heats up and the winds shift with a bunch of young hitters that will get better with more experience.
