So then no one has been impressive then?

You’re right but we’ll see the majority of this lineup on Friday and we won’t see any of todays pitchers in two days.

Because he’s not smashing the outfield seats with every swing.

I’m not saying we’re going to sweep, or even guaranteeing we win the series, but State’s pitching staff isn’t any better than anyone we’ve faced this year.

You already said that we have to sweep MSU this weekend, so this is clearly your first baseball season.

What concerns me the most is that players like Kling aren't even making good contact. Even Tommy White and Travinski have looked somewhat out of sync, even as good as they've been.

Maybe we should hire a better hitting coach. Oh wait, we have the best in college baseball!

It’s not my first baseball season. State is a team this year we should sweep. Of course things happen because we lost the series last year due to pitchers not finding the zone and we fell apart at the end of game three

But go on

I feel a lot more confident this years Dutton and little as opposed to last year in that game.

Hurd and Anderson in game 3 is a deadly match. But go on with it’s my first year broski

It clearly is if you think we *should* sweep an SEC team on the road.

So you're telling me 2 of 3 would be a disappointment?

2 of 3 in cowbell country to open the season is not disappointing at all. They just won a natty two seasons ago.

I just would be disappointed because all three of our starters should handle business against this specific state team. It should be a confidence builder for our pitching staff and for Hurd on Sunday in particular.

I get the whole winning series and a sweep is crazy but in this sense with Hurd being a Sunday guy it bodes well.

That’s why I said we should sweep.

I think this team can go 20-10 with 2 sweeps and two series loss.

But you said we "should" and "have" to sweep them.

Less than two calendar years ago to be precise. And what is your overall point? I think lsu should win all three games this weekend on paper

Which game do you think we have the disadvantage in and why?

That the expectation in the SEC should never be to sweep on the road. That's a football fan mentality.

When it comes to sweeping, we are at a disadvantage in that is really fricking hard to beat a team three times in a row in their place.

It's not that complicated.

I agree with you that it’s really hard to win three games on the road but I’m looking at actual matchups

You’re calling me a homer to just assume but you’re just assuming the opposite instead of bringing up facts

Ask me what I think our record will actually be based off matchups instead of just assuming I don’t know shite

What matchups are you looking at? We don't even know what MSU's rotation will be yet?

No I just called you a novice baseball fan.

Ok, of the last 5 LSU teams that made it to Omaha (23, 17, 15, 13, 09), of all those road series they played, we've swept a grand total of 4:

- 2023 at Ole Miss (finished last in SEC)
- 2017 at Bama (finished last in SEC)
- 2015 at Bama (finished 10th in SEC)
- 2013 at Mizzou (finished 12th in SEC)
- None in 2009

Again, there should never be a road series where you should be expecting to sweep.

Well their Friday starter might be out this weekend.

And based off what you just gave me where do you rank State? State is looking close to the bottom of the SEC this year. Looking like we can sweep this year based off your stats
