again, and I've done dozens, if not more of those type charters, there are very few groups of people more pampered than college athletes, don't know when Hill said it but if at LSU you'd have to take that with a sizable grain of salt

He said it on the radio just now.

If the team is not prepared for it and focused, it can have an impact. I don’t really think that’s a stretch. I understand you don’t think it’s “rough”, but there can definitely be a possible impact.

Baton Rouge fricking sucks All the shite of NOLA with none of the good stuff. Without LSU, BR would be dead. And I lived in BR for a decade, so spare with the you don't know bit

Say what you will about BR at least most of our public roads are navigable and our mayor isn't telling us to take our own garbage to the town dump.

Lucky the storm didn't hit you like it did NOLA. BR has had plenty of issues with weather responses over the years.

wondering where the closest airport is?

they may have to bunk down overnight close by their APOD if they have a bus ride of more than an hour or so to their plane...

otherwise, they have it a lot better than a paratrooper locked down in a transport for 10-12 hours, having to make a jump and go into combat...

“rough” to a kid on those charters might be that they were out of filet mignon when they got to him and he had to eat lobster, I get that it’s a disruption, a minor disruption, in their schedule but by no means traumatic, played baseball in college but the charters I’m referring to I’ve worked as a pilot, including numerous for LSU

I guess they aren't going to tailgate much.

They are blocking out the noise, get to sleep in their own beds, it’s a business trip for them and a charter is nothing like the commercial flights most people take. It’s actually not a bad idea if you’re McElwain.

If they score 24 I don't think we'll win another game. 1-10

Look on the bright side, coach O is gone Monday morning if that happens.

And beat our a-- too. One of the most miserable hot games ever in Tiger Stadium and it took at least 2 hours to get to the interstate with the incompetent BR cops.

Wasn't his idea.

Their hotel cancelled their reservation because it is full of recovery workers. And there are no other hotels nearby with enough availability.
