This here is how we run the short side option. And the only pass play you need is the third down everyone short of the sticks play. Works every time for good punting room. Now where is my check?

He's there solely to work on fake field goals.
How have you guys not realized this yet?

All these comments...

Don't let your dislike of him as a coach bleed over to him as a man.

Now thats funny. LSU had an issue many years ago. LSU had less clock issues than almost anyone in the sport and less than many NFL teams the past 5-6 years. When was the last one?
But hey lets dont let the truth interfere with a good story.

He's so confused, but has raised a terrific family of FOUR kids. None of which has had a blip on their record and is still on marriage #1 and one of the wealthiest people in the United States.

How about you Red, how confused are you to attack this man personally.

Auburn last year. Even before the final play, Les butchered clock management in the last minute, wasting many, many seconds.

Auburn?

Youre kidding yourselves again, if you are blaming that on the former coach. Someone needs to explain how: Not only did Pocic not snap the ball before the clock expired but he didnt snap it for like 3 seconds after it expired. But, not one referee blew a whistle and they and the entire 22 players for both teams played the play for real.

But, hey blame former coach. Thats always cool in here.

Ok have it your way, I couldnt disagree more. Some of you should watch other teams play, if you think clock mgt is so easy.At least compare LSU to other SEC teams for a season. Lsu was one of the best in the country for the last several years.

Its fair to criticize the play calling, QB play, speaking to the press and the inability to beat Alabama anything else is nit picking and not being objective.

LSU had major clock mgmt problems under Les, but more importantly and more hindering was getting plays called and the guys lined up in a timely manner.
It was bad enough that the play calling sucked, but when you put out guys in bad positions with the play clock, it was a huge issue.

Les was a good guy and pretty good guy, but I had to point that out.

Carry on

For real. In all seriousness, O is a good recruiter but we don't realize just how good we had it with Les recruiting.

No they did not have major clock mgt issues the past 4-5 years. There is truth to the lining up properly in a timely manner part of your post. But also, when you are poor at QB, these things happen. I will agree that they looked and were confused for moments several times in a game, but got it right before the snap almost every time throughout the season and thats what matters.

Again, pay attention to other schools and see just how well LSU stacked up against them regarding clock mgt issues, including the NFL.
Until this happens we can carry on all day.

PS
How about a fullback dive against a stacked 1 gap against Florida on 3rd down and Guice going the wrong way after a timeout the very next play as a 14 point favorite if we are going to talk about confusion.

But hey lets stay on topic, which was the former coach paid a visit to campus today.
