why are you complaining about the schedule?

LSU did win, and won big correct? even unmotivated did they not set a record for yards?? and they virtually shut out furman in the 2nd half.. what's the issue. we already had to play florida and georgia out the east to go along with the sec brutal schedule.. i think we deserve and easy win.. especially not having a bye.

Then why is Les bringing it up? He is the one that stated it, not fans. It is somewhat pathetic that this team lets the Bama game dictate its season so much these past two years.

Don't act like it's just the team that has an unbalanced view of the schedule. Fans have been dismissing just about every other game as well.

Because every team does it

Not everyone.

There are only three FBS teams that have never played (or scheduled) an FCS opponent:

USC, UCLA and Notre Dame.

Staying above the fray.

If we didnt play the cupcakes of the world we would have to moth ball Tiger Stadium. Every non conference home game would be played on a neutral site.

Well, Les Miles just said HIMSELF the team has this problem, who cares about what the fanbase does.

That something else is poor coaching.

I don't understand why we don't let the second QB take the reps in practice and prepare to play the majority of the first half.

Let the starters play the first series of each possession, then let all the second teamers at least get to play majority of the first half. There would be less wear on starters both the practice week and during the game, the rest of the team would be motivated as hell, and you know they'd be playing hard.

What's the worst case? We get down and have to make major adjustments at halftime? Don't we already? The starters would've been watching from the sidelines and be able to see what the coaches are seeing and then if necessary can go out and win the game in the second half.

This should be the approach to games like furman where the gap is so large.

Maybe it's to try to motivate them now.

You'd also bitch if LSU scheduled power schools and lost.

Apparently he couldn't get them motivated to play Ole Miss either.

Miles on the average only gets good effort
in 2 or 3 games a year. He was like that at Ok State. Always played UT and OKLA close.

Ah. could coaching be the problem? Not setting appropriate and challenging goals for players for each contest will always lead to apathy.

I really think Miles doesn't have to do to much motivating this week.

Les probably couldn't motivate me to keep my left glove at my cheek in a 12-round fight with Stephen Hawking, either, but I don't think that makes him a shitty trainer.

Scheduling teams such as Furman guarantee wins, but does little for the attendance and overall impression of the program.

I'd much rather see us schedule major conference teams on our schedule.

He still needs to do a much better job challenging his players and providing a set of metrics to be assessed for each player game to game.

Or what? Jesus Christ, people. It was the fricking bullshite Furman game. Do you people stare at the snot on the Kleenex for hours after you blow your nose, too? Throw it the frick away. It's just snot.
