Canada and Aranda do not respect him and they have been basically told by the AD to ignore O and do there own thing.
And why should they?
They're coordinators on a trajectory to be head coaches. Orgeron is a DL coach.

How is Alleva still employed at this very moment still?
Posted on 10/11/17 at 11:14 am to Number 31
yeah i mean Aranad was O's boss last year

what is the name of the podcast? i would like to listen.

Canada and Aranda are going to get the hell out of this situation after this season and I won't blame them one bit for doing so.
Then O will hire T-Bob and Ponamsky to be the new OC and DC.

If we lose Canada and Aranda, my hope is that hands will be forced to take action and clean house. It won't matter how much we pay coordinators, nobody worth a shite will want to come into this situation.

Is Alleva looking to pin a "breech of contract clause" on O to negotiate the buyout should he need to fire O? This is my opinion and not based on any factual information.
you think Joe Alleva could come up with a plan to do anything?

So only 4 people in a room: Alleva, O, Canada, Aranda....
Yet Chris fricking Landry has all the details of the meeting......
The rant is so fricking dumb.
He made it clear that the coordinators are talking to other coaches. He has a ton of ties to the coaching community. He referenced the coaching "fraternity" and how often info is shared in and around the coaching circles.
It's even noted in my summary how Landry heard about it:
quote:
Why did meeting happen? From 3 sources who spoke to either one, or both coordinators: Coordinators were empowered to run their units as they see fit. Communication with Orgeron is necessary, but Alleva told Orgeron to let them coach the way they want to.

they are going to have a hard time finding jobs that pay them more than what they make at LSU.

If you listen to Landry’s Oct 3rd Podcast “The Rise and Fall of LSU Football” you really get a sense of how much Alleva screwed our program with the way he handled Miles’ firing and the hiring of Orgeron.

This thread got an anchor too.

Not that I don't agree with forcing hands and all, but LSU AD and administration, etc should not wait till it gets that bad.
A program that has crumbled is much harder to put back together and one has has a crack. There has to be someone over there smart enough to see this.

Why would they anchor this thread?

Who's to say they dont respect him? All this shite is opinion. Unless someone has directly talk to Aranda or Canada. They have no idea.
Honest question.
In your job, would you respect a boss who has no idea what you do, but tries to show you how to do it?
If you take football out of this entire scenario and just look at it from the stand point of your work environment. It's pathetic what is happening.

I took the time to do this and posted it, then the thread got anchored. This is for everyone who hasn't heard, or can't listen to the podcast.
Thanks...I was NEVER gonna listen to that, so I appreciate your notes.
quote:
- Short version of what makes Canada's offense work: Pre-snap motions mask Oline deficiencies and talent discrepancy. Offense's success is predicated on making defenses defend the jet sweep preventing them from teeing off on QB in the pocket or overloading the front against the inside run.
Given LSU was able to move the ball against UF with three freshman playing at one time at one point, this makes a lot of sense.
quote:
- Pressure is on coordinators because of the structure
Yep...and unless the HC is held accountable, it gives him cover. Never made any sense.
quote:
It's a problem when the coordinators don't respect the HC's accumen due to lack of knowledge on running an offense and/or defense.
I'll give this a big "no shite" and it's what many of us here have been saying since "The system" was described.
quote:
- Most situations include coordinators who "look up" to the HC, and are being empowered by HC to take charge, but coordinators have the option to "tap in to" the HC's knowledge to help them grow as a coach. This is a "void" at LSU, and "is a long-term problem".
Basically...we have no HC. frick...
quote:
- What is Alleva so involved? Paraphrasing: "That's what he's always wanted and he did not get that with Les Miles. That's why he hired Orgeron. He wanted to have the ability to put his two cents in. It's his toy. Les Miles, nor any other coach, would put up with that."
If "Fire ALLEVA!!" is not a chant this Saturday we're ball-less as a fan base.
quote:
- Orgeron listens to too many people regarding how the program should be run. Specifically mentioned Pete Jenkins and coordinators.
OK...this may have been refuted, and maybe most don;t even remember this...but years ago back on the Purple Board "insiders used to get info from a cat they called Yoda. Rumor was, That was Jenkins...and that info dried up once he was no longer on Saban's staff. Take that FWIW...
quote:
- Win against Florida is not an indicator that long-term success is viable.
Anyone spinning anything different from that win is either A) a fricking moron, B) ate up with simple wishful thinking or C) spinning the story for job security.

You will have to ask the admin that did it.
Posted on 10/11/17 at 11:45 am to RB10
quote:
- Noted that this all should have been kept in house. Leaking it to the media makes the HC look weak in front of the team. Not the right way to do things.
There was no leak, O came right out and said it. It says a lot about him.

Are they connected to the Athletic Dept or University?

No just the admins on the site. This site isn't officially connected to LSU, though it is the primary message board for LSU fans.
I'm not sure why it matters that this is posted here. Anyone can listen to the podcast. It's free.
