I understand. But, so what? In my mind, having LSU prominently displayed on the cover in this manner far outweighs the implications in the actual story. I think this is more positive than negative for the only people who really matter/get effected by magazines -> future players.
I agree with you to a point. It is a really bad arse cover and will look good with all the other LSU SI covers...but you have to call a spade a spade. This article was a total hit piece and deserves the criticism.

Some of you are going to have to give up the swimsuit issue over this.

Yesss! Great job Clay. I felt the exact same way when I saw the article and his picture on the cover. Although I love the picture and it's my iphone background now, I didn't understand "WHY" he was on the cover? It seemed like a stretch form the magazine, especially since he's no longer on the team...seemed like an ulterior motive...or maybe it's as simple as HB is still one of the biggest names in the game, albeit a game he doesn't play anymore, and he can sell magazines if on the cover. Like I said, it's a beautiful cover...

I understand that, but its still hypocracy .

There was another article written about this saying that Tyrone Mathieu had a judge order a cease and desist against Pete Thamel at SI for continuously harassing his family at all hours of the day and night...showing up at his home, his elderly mothers home, calling from blocked numbers etc. even though Tyrone repeatedly refused to be interviewed for the story.

SI must have hired some of the News Corp reporters...

Have zero respect for SI. Good for Clay Travis.

Hope you told them why, Walt.

I'm still waiting for that Thayer Evans story about Landon Collins, Eddie Lacey and how the Lowery girls helped get them to Alabama. Until that comes out, I could give 2 shits to anything that hack writes.

The pictures in the front have been the best thing about that magazine for years. The writing is garbage. I don't miss my subscription at all

I love the fact that those commenting are posting links to the WAFB story from last night on that thread. Wonder if they are on TD.com

EDSBS has now done a piece on this and calls the story the result of "incompetence"by SI.

You're looking at this through purple and gold glasses. Think how Tyrann feels about it.
