Well it is most likely we lose 4 or 5 so according to him then O is history. Espn predicts 6-6.

What about a 6 win season in 2018 but a 10 win season and 2nd in the West in 2019?

18 straight seasons with 8+ wins. If he fricks that streak up in year two it will take a SECCG appearance, minimum, to stick around.

LSU made the statement that 10 wins isn't enough to keep your job when the fired Les Miles after 2015.

He isn't going to be fired after this year if he wins 7 games. People really need to accept that. He would have to have an historically bad year in order to get fired and I just don't see that happening.

And this is one of the biggest problems with the hire imo. Especially with the way O, and many of his supporters, can quickly toss aside responsibility.

I think O is night immune even at 7-5. 6-6 gets dicey, but I think he'd win out. His cult of personality is his biggest asset.

The wins don’t anount to shite if you’re not competing or winning some form of titles whether it’s the West. Sec. Or natty. We have 1 west title since 2008. We really have not competed for the west since 2012. This is 2018. Let that sink in.

If he only wins 7 regular season games this year, I would absolutely love for him to be fired. I just don't think it's going to happen because Alleva would then be in essence be firing himself.

Alleva isn't going to fire him. Alleva is the first domino that must fall before he is fired.

care to make a wager?

btw, LSU is the ONLY school (yes, you read that right) to finish with 8 wins every year in the 21st century.

ergo, 7-6 would be "historically bad".

I agree. However, fewer than 8 wins should get Alleva fired, and the following season anything less than winning the West should get Orgeron fired.

Yeah. And you see how well that turned out.

If LSU fires O in 2 seasons, they'll have to hire somebody like Derek Dooley or some other cast off. Tom Herman and Jimbo already played the shite out of us. Who wants to get in the SEC West buzzsaw when 10 wins isn't enough?

Anyone who thinks they are a better coach than O.

Which I imagine a lot of coaches would.

This mindset is sad. The best coaches will come here thinking they can win immediately. To go further, fans shouldn't want a coach at LSU that doesn't think he can win at least 10 games a season with the resources available.

This isn't Mississippi State or Ole Miss. This is a program that has won 2 national titles in the past 15 years.

As long as you are going with a list of sleaze balls, why not add Art Briles to the list?

Any coach that is going to accept a head coaching position at a school like LSU is likely going to have a huge ego and thinks he is going to be the one to turn it around.

This is a program that fired their winningest coach after letting him twist in the wind the season before, and then got punked very publicly by the two coaches on everybody's list.

I know it's hard to believe, but LSU is in football jail right now. It's what happens when national public opinion raps you on the knuckles. O is safe and the sooner the Rant realizes it, the more you'll all be able to accept it and have fun.
