Here is what we know. Woodward will overspend and take easiest way out.

Peterson fits that narrative.

0 chance that happens. And we wouldn't want him if it was happening anyway.

Petersen was Woodard's big hire at Washington and a successful FB coach. I think he would be the first coach Woodard would try to talk to should O is done this season. A proven hc with no big buyout tied up.

Please learn how to properly title a thread. You need something more descriptive than merely a name

Your hatred of Woody is hilarious. What hires have you disliked that he’s made?

Yea it’s pretty obvious he’s an Orgeron loyalist.

Bitching about an AD who will spend to get championship coaches. Bitch bc he spends and bitch bc he hires big names.

Isn’t that a big part of his job? Isn’t he considered one of the very best at what he does?

Yea I thought so.

Been widely reported he is happy in retirement and not remotely interested in getting back into coaching. UDUB stressed him out what do you think the LSU job would do to him.

Another quick fix recognizable name with no long term solution. Hard pass, shallow idea.

56 years old is prime. If successful, he'd coach at least 10 years. I wish we had a 56 year old Nick Saban.

Is a PNW guy who stayed at Boise years longer than he had to because he didn’t want to leave the area. There is a 0 chance he ever coaches in the south.

He retired because of the stress of being a CFB coach. Baton Rouge would eat him alive.

Still would love to have had him after his great 2016 season.

It's never going to happen and he would be a TERRIBLE fit here. this job is too demanding for a guy like him. He doesn't recruit for shite and that's kind of a must in this job.

I don't think he wants the job because he's happy in retirement and has a special needs child. All the people implying he's a bad football coach don't know their arse from a hole in the ground though. He had boise state as a top 15 program and had udub in the playoffs and new years six bowls. If he did want the lsu job, he would kill it here

Wouldn't mind Peterson at all, I don't think he will come out of retirement. Although, if anyone could get him could get him coaching again, I think it would be Scott.
