Chris Low says SEC going to pods in 2025.Heres a popular prediction of what they’ll look like.

1. Ga, Fla, Ky & SC
2. Ala Aub, Tn & Vandy
3. LSU , OM, State& Ark
4. OU, Tx , A&M & Mizzou

I can see Ark & A&M switching. I’m not sure A&M wants in pod with Texas. Sec owes A&M a big favor after Sankey “John Holmes” them bringing Tx in

Not a fan. You lose something without divisions.

That would be a pretty easy pod for us

I’d take it

Pods are the way to go with 16 teams. The ones that don’t like them either don’t understand how they work or they want to cling to the Alabama Tennessee/Georgia/auburn “rivalries”

Rivalries and traditions that have been going on for generations. Not playing auburn bama and FL every year would suck. Those are the 3 biggest games each season. I know we haven’t always had divisions but the pods set up will get rid of a lot of great annual matchups.

Are you referring to this article? Because it doesn't say anything about pods. In fact, he predicts an elimination of divisions as well by going to a 3-6 model. Quite possibly the dumbest solution they could've come up with.

Chris Low article predicting 3-6 format

The SEC doesn’t owe A&M anything. Fact is that based on traditional rivalries and geography, it only makes sense for A&M and Texas to be in the same pod.

It has been repeatedly reported by everyone involved that Pods have been ruled out.

You’re most likely going to a 9 sec game schedule.

3 permanent opponents and 6 rotating.

Permanent SEC opponents are retarded. I prefer to see different schools more often.

Aren’t the two pretty much the same thing? You play the same 3 teams every year plus the 6 rotating. It’s not called “pods” but seems like it plays out the same.

No.

In a pod system all 4 teams would play each other every year. You can win a pod.

In this system let’s say our 3 are Bama, A&M and Arkansas. We would play those three every year but they would have 2 different permanent rivals than we had.

For instance Bama would play Us, Tennessee and Auburn

A&M would play us, Texas and Oklahoma

Etc etc

(Just pulling schools out my arse. Not guessing as to who our permanent three would be.

A 3/6 schedule would make us play every school in the SEC at least once every 4 years.

It’s really the only way to play all of the schools while maintaining traditional rivalries.
