Fowler has a logical view of things.

If you are a competitive guy you are going to go to places that put you in the best position to compete. It’s simple.

We’re still the best job in college football, so I could give a shite whether or not we’re considered a “blue blood”.

Fowler has always been better than Rece Davis.

Davis is a Bama homer who hates LSU.

Rece is pretty good overall but he’s always been scare of LSU and that brings his credibility into question that he cannot hide it.

You know for a fact that Kirk is rooting for OSU but he’s never biased when the cameras are on.

Not a blue blood as far as the 70's - 2000 but since then we are and in the future we will be.

To quote a fine piece of cinema, A Knight's Tale: "How did the nobles become noble in the first place? They took it at the tip of a sword."

In this century, LSU has become the destination job it should have always been. In today's college football, that is what matters.

Great take

Fowler tends to deliver straight takes consistently

I agree that Lane is here for championship. He knows it and we all know it.

Expectations are high and if he doesn’t deliver, he’ll be fired.

The question is “how long” before the fans get restless
I think Lanes grace period is very short ie- championship within 2 years but with the right ascent, 3 years could be just fine.

Chris is exactly right here. There is no way to leave a team and take another HC job. This just happens to be LSU rival. OM is our oldest rivalry once Tulane was removed from the schedule every year. So of course OM will be bitter, just like LSU fans were when Saban left then took the Bama job. The fact is and great for LSU, Kiffin is where he wants to be and LSU is a great match for him to win multi NC's.

Maybe if you're looking at all-time history. But in the modern era, we absolutely are. In the past 30 years, we're tied with Ohio State for the 2nd most national titles in that span....behind only Bama.

Rece Davis is a Bama frat boy who blew someone at ESPN to get where he is now

Fowler is a tenured sports mind and a ton easier to listen to

Rece is on the same level as Marty. A feminine beta male who has his feelings hurt all the time. Herbstreit is the only person holding Gameday together. When he leaves it will turn into a complete trash show.

Being considered a "Blood Blue" isn't anything to brag about. Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Michigan are considered to be "Blue Bloods". LSU is arguably on parr or better than any of those programs.

I’ll never forget 2015 when LSU was considering firing Les Miles and Rece Davis was talking down to LSU and saying “Why fire Miles? who do you think you can get?! You’re not a blue blood”.

2015 was right around when the ole Nebraska blue bloods were firing Mike Riley in favor of Scott Frost. The rich get richer!!

I'm good with being LSU.

Fowler is greatness.

Gameday took a massive dive when he left.

One of the best to ever do it.

Blue blood is another word for “used to be good but not anytime lately.”
