No he hasnt. Just complaining about Arandas performance, considering he is the highest paid assistant in the history of college football.

Not sure if you know how this all works.

LSU isn't going to see another QB who can move like he can
Justin Fields can move pretty damn good and I think that offense as a whole is a lot fricking better than Ole Piss

Childers is a loud mouth. The show is better when he is silent and his cohost is talking.

Here's the rest of my thought, since apparently you missed it:

"This does raise huge concerns about Fields if LSU plays tOSU though."

The question isn't will the defense shut down the opponent anymore. The answer to that is clearly no.

The question is will the defense get the 4-5 stops per game that allows this offense to put the game away. The answer in every game so far, including Ole Miss, is yes.

ETA: Ole Miss was ugly, but the defense forced 2 punts and a turnover in 4 possessions in the 2nd half on Saturday. This was more than enough to put the game away. The offense proceeded to turn the ball over on back to back possessions after going -10 yards and getting a field goal.

Had the offense done what it usually does it's a 56-23, or worse, type game at the start of the 4th and Ole Miss has no momentum.

We were playing a different scheme in '16 than now. And it was Dave himself who said Chaisson could do some things better than Key.

Godchaux was a 5th rd pick. Probably about where Lawrence will go.

Point being, '16 had depth and injuries and inexperience and supposedly the less-preferred scheme and they got it done.

BTW, when Queen sub'd for White in the 1st half vs Bama the wheels didn't come off. He's no Devin White but he's no bum either.

Maybe scheme really does have something to do with it.

It’s played not scheme.

When we rush 4 we expect this 4 to get to the QB.

We keep saying “oh the DL are there to eat blocks for LB” but that’s not the case when we’re dropping Lbs into coverage in passing downs.

It's one thing to get lit up by an elite team because of how the game favors the offenses but it's another to get lit up by mediocre teams that are one dimensional

Just because a team doesn’t throw much...doesn’t mean they are one dimensional. Triple option RUN teams are routinely ranked highly in national offensive stats.

Childers is a bit of a goofball, but he is knowledgeable, and *extremely* passionate about college football.. to me that goes a long way.. and i think the pairing of he and Neuhisal makes for a nice counterbalance.

Was it not? I feel like the general consensus was that O thought Aranda and his defense was necessary for O to keep his job.

Get ready for the Aranda cultists who will tell you it's not his fault, and everyone is having a meltdown for no reason. Evidently any defense that gives up the yardage and points we do is performing very well. Snowflakes.

I am not sure why anyone says that he is a Great DC? His record here does absolutely nothing to show that he is a Great DC. Remember, and the numbers prove, that none of his D's here at LSU were as good as Chavis' last! People need to stop calling this guy a Great DC until he can prove to any of us that he actually is.

I don't disagree with you. I've been frustrated with the defense's performance too but I'm at the point where I'm just enjoying a national championship run and I'm not letting a few bad defensive games ruin the high I get from watching our offense stomp the frick out every team we play.
