We cant see the play my guy.... you freaking out for a full minute like we hit a triple only to finally meander your way to the fact that it was in fact an out at first is infuriating

Just never really enjoyed any of his calls for any sport. Was a disappointing hire bc he had no LSU ties. Hawthorne at least showed how much he loved the University in his calls. I don’t sense that with Chris.

I think he does very well for football. He doesn’t relay what’s going on with baseball very well at all. He’s very professional and has a great voice for radio though.

I feel bad that someone like hanigriff who has a genuine passion for LSU and near encyclopedic knowledge of multiple sports doesn’t have a role in that. Even if it only for baseball.

And he’s good at basketball. 2 out of 3 ain’t bad and if you’re going to suck at one (for the record I don’t think he does) then might as well be baseball. It was Hawthorne’s worst too.

He’s not terrible but he’s not a diehard Tiger fan which is what is missing. Hanagriff was the choice and they botched it.

Hanagriff was a die hard fan but he just didn’t have any charisma as a play by play guy. He’s perfectly suited for what he does now.

Honestly I can’t believe there are people who willingly watched or listened to this team after March.

Miserable, awful product.

Found another front runner. Only wants to support the teams when they win.

I will copy and paste this every single time this thread shows up. They should have hired an LSU guy. Hanny or Wright would have been fine. But everyone screamed "we need a professional who sounds like a network guy". So here we are.

Hanny wanted too much money and still wanted his Noon radio show. LSU passed

Off the top of my head one of his better calls where he actually showed genuine emotion was Mason Taylor's 2 point game winning catch in OT vs Bama
