To be fair there were flags on both those plays and in the moment it would be hard to tell if they were against us or not.

Average rantards biggest enemies.. The starting QB, Radio Announcer, Head Coach

People bitched to no end about Hawthorne lol

There were more than two plays in that video. He has to call the TD's as TD's and then sort out the flag.

He was pretty subdued on the other big plays as well.

Maybe he had Auburn plus the 9?

Yeah, he sounded like he gave zero fricks. I’d rather listen to Hawthorn bitch.

Honestly, Chris displays very little enthusiasm in these highlights. Like him overall, but he needs to improve here. This is unfortunately what we get when we hire a outsider as our play by play guy. No offense to Chris, it is what it is.

He’s a typical Alleva hire. Mediocre. He talks too much in all sports and doesn’t allow his partners time to talk and provide analysis they’re more qualified to provide than him.

He needs to call the play, get out of the way and let his partners (Moreau or Rush on the field) talk until about 3 seconds before the next snap. During dead balls in basketball, he needs to stop and let Brady speak. And in baseball, he needs to stop talking about previous points while the pitch happens or the ball is in play.

He’s mediocre, but he’s still better than listening to Joe Tessitore or this Saturday, Bob Wischusen, who fits right in as the Jets play by play guy on Sundays because he sucks.

His lack of emotion on the biggest play of the game is odd. That strip sack touchdown completely changed this game. Reminded me so much of 2011 when lsu would start super sluggish and honey badger would make a play on defense triggering the entire team to start playing well.

Well that's not a problem in football because Moreau has turned into Harry Doyle's broadcast partner from Major League.

We have heard him excited before in past games but I will agree he was over all subdued there…

I had the radio on with the television on mute.

That was far from his best game but his excuse can be that his enthusiasm on scoring plays was tempered by penalty flags laying on the ground even though they ended up being on the other team.

There is room between sounding like you'd rather be anywhere else in the world than calling a game like Blair sounds like in those highlights...and manically losing your mind over fairly routine plays like Tessitore.

Blair sounds like he is trying to put together an audition tape for a national gig. One where he doesn't "favor" either time. That's fine if you are a neutral PBP guy. But as the PBP voice for the team its nice, hell, encouraged, that you get excited when "your" team makes a big play.

It sounds like Blair decided before the game: "I'm going to come here, hope this game doesn't last long, put up with this doddering outdated old man who provides nothing to the broadcast, and go home ASAP."

Hawthorne at least sounded happy to be there. He had emotions, thoughts, feelings, and excitement.

Even near the end, Hawthorne was still emotional and wasn't afraid to tell you how shite things were on the field.

Blair this weekend just sounded like he was collecting a paycheck and nothing more.

Yea i listened to most of the second half on the radio

“Emery…inside the 20…the 5…touchdown…tigers.”

Hawthorne would’ve been JIHP while calling Emery “Alfred Blue”

It’s LSU Auburn man. Get pumped!
