The team you're describing - that's not us. We play in a division with one of those teams.

It might not look like it from where Kansas State sits, but we're an afterthought on the national scene, because of the teams we play against every year.

KSU literally played LSUs scout team.

The scout team has:

Austin Deculus
Chasen Hines
Cam Wire
M. Smith
J. Roy
Kiner
J Jenkins
B.J. Ojulari
Ingram
Liam Shanahan
Brian Thomas
Soni Fonua
J. Guillory
Mike Jones
and Jay Ward?

That's 15 guys who were in the two deep, most of whom started sometime this year. Then it wasn't "literally" the scout team.

That's what some were saying at the game too. Whatever, they won, and to victors go the spoils. Frustrating night for LSU fans, but part of the reason they are reacting like that is they got their chance to take down a blueblood.

If your players didn't act like pieces of shite in the third quarter, I'd have been a lot more impressed. A kicker getting a personal foul? Pathetic.

Now do the rest of the team that was out there and in rotation for the game...

Honestly, that bowl game was great for college football. Both teams had reasons to have a chip on their shoulder and to play for pride despite the game result not really meaning anything in the grand scheme.

KState was playing to show that they could take on one of the big boy programs, and LSU was playing for pride despite not having most of their roster available. It showed heart and fight and love of the game from both programs. Hated to get the loss in that, but I was proud of the Tigers who showed up, suited up, and left it on the field for no other reason than the love of the game and love of LSU.

Congrats to KState on the win. Some tough players for that Wildcat team, especially that Darren Sproles clone at RB. Kid had some grit to him.

True, but LSU like many other P5 universities with respected athletic programs, in this case football, allowed their best players to sit out because of injury concerns. If this is where we are with bowl games shouldn’t we just put an emphasis on the promotion of the game as a friendly scrimmage?

We’ll keep the CFB playoffs but the rest of the post season games will be considered scrimmages with the fans and university bands in attendance.

This. KState’s players were talking shite like they beat some SEC powerhouse, when in reality they beat a team full of backups and walk ons with a WR playing QB

I live here. My best buddies are K-State fans and former players.

We had some friendly banter back and forth last night.

They threw out these 2 lines that made me laugh.

- "But it's still LSU"
- "Those 39 scholarship players all have more stars than our guys"

Good for KSU, that's their MO and they let the name on the opponents helmet fuel them. They are successful and play the way they do because of that underdog mentality, but I couldn't help but chuckle. Would be nice if it led to a home and home.

It’s one thing to celebrate a glorious win, and it’s another thing to be delusional about who you actually played.

Let them enjoy the victory.

When you have a WR starting at qb for the first time you really don’t have a chance so yes that’s a scout team

I have mad respect for K State, their class, and their program. Wife is a K State Grad (NP), and they know hard work there. They are always the little brother to OK, TX and the rest of the Big 12. Great people, hardworking, honest, and humble. The penalties and the behavior kind of suprised me. Bill Snyder would not have tolerated that behavior and he is God there. Joan would not have liked it either.

Of lsu has Flott and McGlothern in the defensive backfield we probably win.

It’s not really a fair comparison to say “all those guys played so it doesn’t matter”.

We had two walk ons playing DB. We had almost no LB rotation because of no depth.

We had a WR playing QB. If Max plays we probably win easily
