Do we know why?

I think he wants him in the lineup he just doesn’t like him playing short. Not sure why we haven’t really seen him play the position much but he is hitting the ball so I know he wants him out there somewhere and 2B is probably where he fits best in CPM’s eyes.

Would make sense, given he's kind of shot put a few balls from 2B to 1B, even underhanded one

No idea why Arnold was moved to 2B if he was your SS before and after Doughty returns. PM doesn't seem to want him in the lineup at all much less at SS.
Again, you're just making shite up.

Before the season started Mainieri said he wanted Arnold to be the starting SS. Scuba told me that at one of the scrimmages and I have no reason to doubt Scuba's word (unlike you).

You really have gotten worse making up lies and starting unfounded rumors. Knock it off.

Hopefully the team's talent can overcome PM's inability to coach or instruct.

I wonder if the injury he came into last season with has hurt his arm strength so CPM doesn’t trust him at short long term.

I believe Scuba sure... But Arnold didn't start the season regularly at SS did he? He was benched game 2. So there's Scuba's word and what PM actually did.

Saying PM doesn't seem to want him out there isn't a lie since it's perception-based.

I thought initially Arnold started at SS, Didn’t he play games 1 and 3 there?

I edited. He was benched game 2. And then again vs Nichols.

That was me.

I said I didn't have any inside information but was speculating that Arnold might have some arm issues based on how he was throwing the ball to first in Saturday's game and how he was shaking and windmilling his throwing arm between pitches.

I don't know if he actually has a problem with his arm but he even underhanded one throw to first the next play after he lollipopped the throw to first base that not even Tre Morgan could get to.

But your perception is ALWAYS slanted against Mainieri and the program. You have no idea how Mainieri feels about Arnold playing SS so you just fabricate a statement that he doesn't "seem" to want Zach playing that position.

Okay, then I'll keep correcting you when you lie.

I'm no fan of PM's but Arnold to 2nd seems totally consistent with a kid who is dealing with arm issues. I've done it with 2-way guys at SS that were dealing with arm soreness after pitching. I know the popular thinking on this site is that everything PM does is illogical. There's some truth to that but in this case, I think it is a legit health issue.

Thank god you're here to let everyone know the difference between breaking a record temp and tying a record temp.

The longer Dugas goes without playing any time in the infield the less likely I think we can throw around the idea of that happening.

There's going to be a log jam in the outfield and at DH with

Dugas
Gio
Crews
Drost
Beloso

All of those bats are starters.

It's the most frustrating part while they don't get other guys playing time at 3B and SS.

The longer this goes on Mainieri will have no choice but to say "we're starting conference play we can't afford to try out different players at positions they've never played".

Can Hayden travinski play 3rd?
It turns out, there is a pretty good chance that we have no idea where he has played in the past.

There is also a chance that you dont ask because 95% of right handed non pitchers are going to reply"shortstop" when asked where they have played in the past.

We need a new coach period. The dude from Texas Tech is a beast. Been to 4/7 past CWS. They had never been before that.

I'm not sold on Gio being ready so soon. So it may not be the biggest issue if Drost keeps hitting. But if Beloso doesn't come around with average, he may be the odd man out.

Yes, someone will be left out in the cold, but that is how it goes.

Even if he does have arm issues, which we don’t know if that’s true or not since it is admittedly just a theory, playing Bianco at SS still makes no sense.

Not when you have Cranford on the bench, Thompson at 3rd and Dugas in left. Hell I’d be more willing to plant Crews at 3rd base over Bianco at SS.

I actually think that’s what will happen. He’ll try when it’s too late and it won’t work.
