All I know is our team looks like they would rather be anywhere than playing baseball. Other than the facial hair it's the no fun team and it's been that way for the last couple of seasons since the 2017 runner up season.

Glad we got Braden Doughty some reps at 2B yesterday in a tight, late inning game.

The program?
Yes.

Thank god you're here to let everyone know the difference between breaking a record temp and tying a record temp.
That's exactly what I'm referring to when I say you always slant your perception against the LSU baseball program.

You wanted to shite on the team's effort for hitting so many homeruns by saying they were doing so because high temperature records were broken the week before.

In actuality no records were broken and ONE DAY a record was tied. You ignored that LSU hit multiple homeruns the opening week when temps were seasonal.

I wasn't shitting on the team. I was saying temp and wind play a factor and in late feb we got some really crazy weather with temps as high as they've ever been (you called it a little higher than average ) and wind blowing out of the south 15 mph. That's just a fact. It was irregular and beneficial for more HRs. And I'll say it again, that doesn't mean LSU wasn't hitting well with a good approach. I must have said that a few times in that thread. But it gets ignore because I pointed out the luck we've had with weather first. I swear, some of you just can't handle reality.

I thought initially Arnold started at SS, Didn’t he play games 1 and 3 there?

Arnold either started or played some innings of each of the first 6 games of the season at SS.

Doesn't matter until we make a change at the top. "Lesticles" Mainieri has to go.

Context is important here because he had to play game 2 in place of Gio after he got hurt. It wasn't PM's plan to have him play. Which is what we are discussing here. PM's plan with Arnold.

That’s what I remember. He moved to second after Doughty’s injury I believe.

I don’t know if you saw my post this morning, but one of the radio announcers this weekend hinted that Arnold might have an arm problem. I think he saw what you did or heard something.

Thanks. I don't remember seeing you post that. I was hoping to be wrong about an arm issue.

Arnold was the player who had a rib injury in the fall of 2019 and had to have surgery to have the rib removed. He was able to come back and play in a few games before the 2020 short season ended.

If Arnold isn't injured, I would like to see him at 3B. Let Thompson and Cranford battle for SS.

Yeah I'm not defending the use of Bianco at SS but the kid does possess mad power. I really don't blame him for seeing if Bianco could catch fire before Doughty comes back. I think Arnold will be on the field somewhere but right now, Thompson isn't a lock at 3rd IMO. This team is going to live/die with 3-run hr's and pitching. They are going to K a lot. Bianco fits that mold. Sadly for him, I don't think he's gonna make enough contact to stay in lineup with a healthy Doughty. I would look back at Garza and say that PM had that same intrigue with his power. He kept putting him out there and finally he broke out.

Garza hit .378 with 23 HRS in Juco the season before he got to LSU. Bianco didn't even hit that many HRs in his entire high school career. Besides, Bianco hits below .200.

Garza was actually making contact in his non homeruns he was just rolling over a lot of balls early in the season. Bianco either hits a homerun or strikes out on three pitches it seems. He doesn’t even give you a competitive at bat most of the time.

I do think, contrary to what the rant believes, he is a good defensive player and can help this team with late game defensive substitutions at a number of positions.

And then you had Bianco get on in the 7th and no one pinch ran for him.

Honest question. How bad would this team be if we had a normal year in 2020 with our recruits playing their full senior seasons and the draft went on as normal?
