LSU fans want so badly for it to be OKst, I almost hope they win just to watch this board meltdown we got in over OKst.
Okie state loses they don't deserve to go. They win and Bama goes would be a travesty. OSU would be the conference champions and have 3 more top 20 victories with a tougher strength of schedule than Bama. Anything I am missing?

Somewhere between slim and none.
OSU must beat Oklahoma. Clemson must beat Virginia Tech.
Even then, OSU would need 25% of the human 2nd place votes and 75% of the 3rd place votes. OSU is currently 5th in both human polls. So this means that OSU must pass VT and Stanford, and take some 2nd place votes away from Bama.
Stanford is done and cannot lose another game. Stanford's sole loss was to Oregon, which is a better loss than OSU's. Stanford will continue to receive 3rd place votes, especially from voters from the west coast.
If VT wins, they will pull some east coast votes giving OSU virtually no chance of ending up 2nd in the BCS. I think VT beats Clemson. They are peaking while Clemson has lost their last 3 or 4 games.
Yesterday, OSU's coach made 2 statements indicating that his team is not the #2 team in the nation. He said that if he had a vote and was asked to vote today, he would vote Alabama #2. He pointed out that Bama lost to the #1 team while OSU lost to an un-ranked team. he was very straight up about it. Any voter hearing that interview would be hard press to vote OSU as the #2 team.

You are missing a few things. Bama going would be a travesty to who? OSU? Their own coach told the press yesterday that Bama was the 2nd best team in the nation, not OSU. Then he was asked if he would vote his team #3 and he replied that he has not seen Stanford or Virginia Tech enough to know, but that he had seen Bama. He then said he was glad he didn't have a vote.
Also,
OSU beat Texas A&M by 1 point.
OSU held only 2 opponents to fewer than 24 points this year. Most scored over 24. Bama has not given up 24 points in any game.
OSU ranks 107th in the nation in total defense.
By contrast, the SEC holds 4 of the 5 top defenses, 5 of the top 10, 6 of the top 20. The Big 12 only has 1 team with a defense in the top 20 (Texas).

I guess in 2008 he would have been against Bama going to the NC (thank God Florida beat them that year) because they had to go into overtime to beat an 8-5 LSU team.

He was talking about right now, you idiot. He's trying to motivate his team to prove that they are better than Bama by beating Oklahoma. Just watch his tune change after Saturday night.

Ok St goes if we lose to Ga and they beat OU. Then we maul Ok St in the NC.

If the wins and losses happen - I think it's better than 50%.
a.) nobody wants an all sec final (outside sec) - pac 10 , big east and big 12 voters will mostly bump OK St.
b.) bama doesn't play next week - out of site- out of mind.
c.) the REAL lobbying will begin. Ok State has to wait until they win to say anything.
If Okie Lite wins convincingly, I tend to agree with all of that. I sense the wind has shifted a bit from what I read. Of course, this is even worse than hearsay . . . it's speculation on my part.

Wow. You took the bait on that one.
Gundy is keeping his team focused. If you didn't know, Okie State rarely beats Oklahoma. He will push hard if the Pokes win on Saturday night.

Sadly, that isn't quite true. Gundy is currently keeping the team focused, but after we beat OU, I don't think you will see a hard campaign, probably just a statement to the effect of "I think we can play with anyone in the country right now, and we have had some quality wins this season, but I'm not a voter so I can't decide".

I say less than 5% chance at this point.
If they win, maybe 20%.
Does not compute. Vegas has them at 3.5 point favorites.

Don't blame him. LSU would absolutely crush Ok. State. I think he is just posturing right now but he knows his team isn't "LSU caliber."

Best chance is by beating Oklahoma and Clemson beating Va Tech. Then hope for some love from the voters.
This....still a small hill to climb.
Bring on Bama or whoever....

Yes. Alabama has played 2 good teams all year. And they lost one of those (the game of the century) to LSU @ home.
Ultimately, we're not looking for the 2 best teams. We're looking in THE 1 best team. Alabama has already proven they're not it.

Beat OU and they're in, so I'm going to say zero chances of them making it to the big game.
