I know Texas loves their preseason championships, but why can't we just let the kid play a full game before we decide he's the second coming?

Exactly! Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the kid is very talented, but let's not crown him "King of 2025 college QB's" just yet!!!. Let him get a few games under his belt. My concern is for LSU and our season. I'm hoping for good things from Nuss this year, but only time will tell right? :geauxtigers:

I’m confused why Clemson is being perceived as better than LSU.

This I know, eyes are surely on LSU and especially BK. LSU has to win this game or our season starts out on a bad note. I know a team can still make the playoffs with one loss, but we have not won a season opener since BK has been the HC. That being said, let's...... :geauxtigers:
Same here, Loved Devin White - Dude was a dog and Whit is too. Can't wait for the season to start. LET'S GEAUX!!!!!!

LSU fans in Kentucky

For those going to the UK\LSU game. Just wondering where the LSU fans here in Kentucky will be before the game?

All gas no brakes baw
This!!! And shut Clemson up once and for all. If we had that kind of schedule every year we would "walk" into the playoffs too. Sorry, just tired of hearing Dabo whine about "not getting respect" Stay in your lane dude, The SEC West is brutal. We "earned" this spot, our guys did "WORK" to get here. Just stating facts! :geauxtigers:

Where to watch the game

I will be visiting my family in Baton Rouge and was wondering where is the best place to watch the game with other LSU fans? Thanks!

the OM game wasn't just an anomaly. This defense has had struggles all season

True, very true, but I'm confident those issues will be addressed by Coach Aranda and I hope we can get stronger on defense going forward.

If we want to compete for a NC we "have" to shore up our defense.

LSU was on upset alert versus Utah State, how did that turn out??

Ditto!, not worried. Don't get me wrong they will be motivated coming off of a loss, but we got "Joe B" :geauxtigers:

I think you’re pretty much spot on. Nice analysis.

Ditto, I agree that this game is one that will matter for both teams.

GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!

They know they have no defense and can’t stop us.

I agree, but I hope that our guys play and not sit this one out. All of the pressure is on us to beat them. We should have been given a better opponent, but we got robbed in the A&M game, and I feel that because of that loss this is what we got!
I don't think so, I'm thinking he will perhaps wind up somewhere in the Big 10 eventually, but I don't see him taking the Maryland job. Of course, we could all be wrong on this one. Wherever he goes I wish Coach Miles the very best!
I honestly don't care about that. What does it matter?? The guy knows how to win, win, win! What we need as well as every other coach that has either never beaten them or hasn't beat Bama in a while, is to procure a QB that is a "gunner", evasive in the pocket, etc. No offense to JB because I like the kid, but we all know you will NOT be able to run the ball on those Gumpers, you've got to beat them in the air. If Jalen Hurts had been the QB this year, we would have possibly won that game. Auburn beat them last year because "Tua" was not playing. Georgia got him for one quarter in the NCG, but the SECCG will be a whole different animal.

Where to watch the game

I apologize if there was a thread on this already, but I'm curious if there are any LSU fans here in Louisville? If so, where will you be watching the game? :geauxtigers:

You want to know why this wouldn’t work? Think about the number of UGA fans that found their way into Tiger Stadium ... don’t think Bama won’t have similar numbers. It would look like a freaking Bama home game with all of the crimson and white.

As a long time LSU fan who doesn't live in Louisiana anymore, help me to understand how a team like Alabama or any team can get that many folks in our "home" stadium? I don't need smart@#* replies, just want to know. Are our fans selling their tickets to them? Just curious. I was always under the impression that there were only "a select" number tickets available for any visiting team. I was disgusted by all the red in the stands when we played Georgia. Certainly not looking forward to seeing a bunch of Gumpers in the stands!!!

This game and the A&M game worry me much more than Georgia did.

A&M will be tough, but Miss State was beaten by KY here in their "pitiful" environment. We will win this game. Death Valley will be loud!!!!!!and I'm confident if we control the line of scrimmage, we win. :geauxtigers:

Back in the 70's through 90's, were games at Tiger Stadium this wholesome, american dream type family experience? Or are people just romanticizing an ideal which has never been real?

Although I don't live in B.R. anymore, I did attend LSU in the 80's and you are right, things were a lot different back then. Unfortunately those that "overdo" it with alcohol will occasionally do stupid stuff regardless of the venue. Sad, but true.
If Clemson, Note Dame and Ohio State finish undefeated then only 1 SEC school is getting in.

Even though NC State will play at Clemson, I would keep my eye on this game as a possible upset. I don't think this game is an automatic win for Clemson. NC State has a pretty decent team. An upset will certainly get the conversation going again that Clemson is not the dominant team of the past 3-4 years. Should be another interesting weekend of College Football.[
I don't know, but why don't you tell them to go to N.O. on Bourbon Street with a sign that says "GEAUX BULLDOGS" and let's see how that works out for them!!!!!!!

Finebaum could say the sky is blue and people would have an issue with it.

I get what you are saying, but honestly when it comes to giving LSU any credit, I've just not witnessed him doing so. In my humble opinion, I think he knows that when we are starting off our season with quality wins such as the 2 we have now, he's afraid that this will be the "the year" that we beat Bama. I pray this is the year we do it, it's been a long time and if we do, I can't wait to watch him try and rationalize "why" Bama lost vs us beating them. I'm sorry, but every time I "try" to watch his show, I just can't stay there long. His show is boring and the majority of the callers are idiots!
