Certain suspensions allow for coaches to select the games that suspended players sit out.

For instance, if a player with a certain type of suspension is suspended two games, the coach can pick WHICH two games the suspension is served during the season.

RELAX.

Is that an NCAA, Coach O, or LSU compliance rule?

That's not the problem though. It's just annoying that a starter or someone who will play a ton is getting into trouble.... this problem shouldnt exist

Wasn’t it speculated that we did that with Saahdiq early last year?

If true, he is looking at a 4 game suspension this year because he is on his 3rd failed test

Lsu policy

1st fail-zero missed games

2nd fail- 10% of season= 1 game for football (supposedly he was suspended 1 game last year)

3rd fail-30% of season= 4 games for football

And he would not have to serve consecutive games

so you are looking at Ga Southern, NW ST, Vandy, Utah st

quote:

Suspension from 30% (rounding method used) of countable contests. The penalty will be observed in all sports and must begin within four weeks (30 days) following the confirmed positive. If positive occurs in off-season, the penalty must begin within the first four weeks (30 days) of the season and must be served prior to the end of the competitive season. If multiple contest withholding is required by the policy, the withholding is not required to be consecutive, but must occur prior to the end of the current competition season.

Situation is fluid obviously, but yes that is the tentative plan.

In other words, no major starters missing for Texas?

Let's be honest. That's what the real concern is here.

4 games according to the policy assuming this is his 3rd fail.

If its truly his 4th fail and 50% of competition (6 games), that means he failed his 3rd and 4th time this offseason

Dude was lighting up

Entirely too much drug testing and he probably shouldn't light up that much

Once you failed you get tests often and you know that. It’s no longer really random

You honestly should never fail more than once

Well this is at least a mitigating factor.

And he won’t get injured in game 1
