I couldn't tell if it was her thumb or her wrist

I assumed it was her wrist considering she has been having issues. Seems to be in a lot of pain.

It’s her wrist. Instantly wrapped with ice. Seemed as if she landed with all weight on that wrist and she clinched.

Solid routine for Alyona, unfortunate about the dismount. Idk why but that feels like a challenging dismount for a tall gymnast.

The fricking switch half

Reagan needs a different mount and leap series

I know it’s the first meet but I’m already disappointed in beam. Looks like the same old song & dance. Bars looked much improved.

This beam lineup is gonna need Aleah.

Still holding my breath through the routines. We’ve got some work to do

I share the same concerns... Jay did say he thinks beam is going to fluctuate a bit early in the season. Hopefully Aleah, Dunne can help out here
Last season told us all you need to know, you can be great on 2 or 3 events but get sent home just from one subpar event.

Lots of work to do there.

Beam has potential. Johnson took out the switch half. Not sure why she needs a 3 leap series in its place but whatever. Campbell had a better acro series. Was Durante supposed to be in this lineup and if so, who got put in? I think beam will be drastically different come post season.

I just hope it remains open competition. If there’s better routines, put them in.

The issue IMO is some routines just aren't consistent. Sure all of them can have very solid routines but when you go back to the days of Hambrick, Gnat, Finnegan, etc, the routines don't seem as consistent 1-6. If someone makes a mistake, it feels like more times than not, it snowballs.

Durante was not in the original beam lineup for tonight

It's time for Jay to shake things up with these career beam girls who just cannot get it done. I know that's cold, but if you can't get better in 5 years, it ain't happening.

The last gymnast on floor for Centenary is lucky she isn’t paralyzed after that mistake.

And by the way, huge props to Centenary for coming and doing this BEFORE they even planned to hold their intrasquad. They could have decline and said no thanks. They will be contending for their own national title at the end of the year.
