I wouldn't believe it either however I have heard the same from someone that would know (not on TD). If DALSU started this rumor and it has spread to circles outside of TD then he is the GOAT troll. But I think this is legit buddy.

DALSU, some time next week: "Well guys, we had Jimbo inked and right before he was getting on the plane, FSU came in at the last minute and offered him more. Sorry guys."

Not to mention the money it will cost us.

The only reason he would leave is because he just loves LSU. Maybe he does, idk, I'll eat a lot of crow if he actually comes, but its unlikely. If he was born an

So many moving parts in all of this that its just silly to act like you know it won't happen. You're just as bad as the people posting they're supposed inside info shite.

Which is exactly why you made this thread. It's the same strategy for people who predict we get our asses beat every game.

If you're wrong, you'll be happy so it doesn't matter how asinine you look.

If you're right, well you get to come back here and gloat about how right you were. You're giving yourself an out. It's a common defense mechanism.

I'm stupid because I don't believe a coach that is at one of the best jobs in America, who plays in the conference with the easiest path to the championship, is two years removed from winning a championship, will take a job which first isn't even open, and secondly would require us to shell out close to over 50 million dollars over the next 8 years. Yes I am a compete dumb arse.

it wouldn't surprise me, if jimbo is a smoke screen. first, les has to be fired before anything happens, and if that happens, I think everything else goes pretty fast.

Jeebus. What a strange thing to "can't wait for"

I love Les and acknowledge the end is near. I have not bought into the hype stuff...but, have enjoyed it.

All I will do is cheer like hell for WHOEVER is coaching LSU next season (Les, Jimbo, or TBD)

Why would anyone get annoyed at another LSU fan getting excited....even IF it is premature or ultimately incorrect? I just don't get it.

Thanks for the sanity. Best post Ive seen on this subject.

Will the melt be because Miles stays or because he leads LSU to another 7-5 season?

If things are uneasy, then it's not stupid. Also, you can afford a loss in the SEC, but not the ACC when it comes to the committee

Seriously, some of you devalue how special of an opportunity it is for LSU to have an opening.

how convenient of you to make this statement

so are you on record Jimbo is not coming?

i doubt you'll admit to saying you are on record he isn't coming.

either way, what will happen when your prediction of this happening is inaccurate? will you have any accountability? nope

he might want to get as far away from his wife and her trainer as he can. Those kind of deals open up a lot of things that would not be there if not for this. I think is unfortunate that he has a son I believe who has special needs. I don't know how being away from him would work. FWIW my sister in Tallahassee said that Miami has reached out to Miles' agent about their job opening.

So what if you guys fail in your Jimbo fishing expedition and end up with good ol Les for the new season?

Talk about tension! No way Les can coach, recruit and interact with the community in a normal manner. Awwwkward.

Recruits have to know that it's a nasty situation into which they'd be walking.

Yeah at this juncture you may have to get rid of Coach Miles whether you land a trophy coach or not.

Your analytical skills have a want to be quality. You would come in second, in a two-person debate.

What you apparently don't get is that in all likelihood Jimbo Fisher was the instigator. This isn't a situation where LSU decided to fire Miles, and then throw open a countrywide coaching search.

The "search" begins and ends w/ Fisher. LSU would not get rid of a coach like Miles (11 yrs., successful in the past) without having someone lined up to replace him.

This is a no-brainer. It's done. Enjoy the fact that your athletic director got it right for once.
