Miles would need a new offensive coordinator and a new offensive scheme to make that happen, so I suspect people would have calmed down long before the season starts.

If anybody knows why LSU would want to get rid of Miles despite his winning record, it's Jimbo. Jimbo loved LSU. When Saban bolted, Jimbo stayed. He coached under Miles for two years and said "frick this". He made a lateral move out. Just like I think he would gladly make a lateral move right back, as long as Miles isn't here.
