OK, you are screwing up the anti LSU crowd's narrative by introducing TRUTH. TRUTH has no place on this board.

LSU is building a Nutrition Center in the expansion of the Football Ops project.

Don't worry about football, they are getting some nice, new facilities too.

I am all for this. We should also build the nutrition center. Who cares whether it looks bad to a bunch of politicians? We did not hire Jimbo Fisher two years ago because it would have looked bad. The athletic dept. is rolling in dough and we should use it to our benefit.

Just think its funny how one thing is not even questioned while the other is brought up like it was stealing from the university.

The football nutrition center was put on hold because of a concern over it not being allowed by the NCAA. However I was under the impression that was found to not be a problem later. Private donations were raised for it. The Softball workout center is simply the same thing the men have at Alex Box... It is called Title IX.

That’s incorrect on many levels.

The football players are still gonna eat McDonald's every morning anyway so a nutrition center is pointless. There are nutritionists on staff. Nobody uses them besides stopping by their office for free snacks

I thought I read some time ago that it was being built in the newly available space under Tiger Stadium. Is that wrong? If it is being built adjacent to the football complex, that's great.

There's some vacant space in the South Stadium expansion area the club levels but I heard that was a future headquarers for TAF.

It was the plan once they decided not to build the stand alone facility. That, too changed.

I think so too. It makes complete sense to have there.

LSU has found a permanent home for its long-discussed athletic nutrition center, and work will begin after this football season.

The nutrition center will be attached to the football operations building, athletic director Joe Alleva said Monday at a Tiger Athletic Foundation Tiger Tour event in Baton Rouge. The news is no surprise, as officials said two weeks ago they were “aggressively” exploring the possibility of having the nutrition center included in the scheduled expansion to the football operations building.

Renovations to LSU's football operations building will indeed include the nutrition center
