Tenth, I just posted this in the other thread about the Florida game. Curious if you recall any truth to what was being said leading up to that game:

quote:

Aslo, think back on the chatter here leading up to that game. Delta Doc and TBL were both saying that if LSU had lost that game and the following to Auburn (both were expected), that talk was in place to remove both Alleva and Orgeron. Who knows how much truth there was to that but everyone was fully anticipating getting run through by Florida and Auburn was kicking arse leading up to the game in BR.

Orgeron is a fool for not letting Canada go but we know that already.

So TT... if you're legit, you're saying that pretty much if Ensminger gets hired, we will be running an Orgeron offense, period. So I would assume this is Orgeron's make or break hire and year.

No. In fact, the post implodes on itself when it is said that the losses were expected.

If you hire a guy and expect him to lose in his first year..of that is an expectation, then you should have no plans to fire the man for what he is expected to do.

The 2018 season will allow me to get a grip on his job status. Rest assured, i will have that news well in advance. OC news is relatively quiet but an AD change? Ill be all over that like stink on shite.

are you of the belief it would take a complete disaster in 2018 to oust him or could a 4-5 loss season sink him?

Thank you for your insight, sir. Please do NOT let the crazies around here run you off.

Please hang around! Your contributions are appreciated.

Please tell me Brennan is a better deep ball thrower than Etling.

Probably, but they say the deep balls are the easiest ones to throw and Etling was clearly a better game manager, so I think that’s why they wanted to keep him in for deep balls.

Things were kind of hairy here after the Troy loss.

If we lose to UF & Auburn by substantial margins...

quote:

You are going to start hearing serious rumors of boosters working behind the scenes to get rid of Alleva and O.

I’ve heard that there is some organizing already in the works...though informal at this point.

There’s a plan being floated to hire new coach via a committee, similar to how Ole Miss hired Freeze, with the assistance of a search firm since it’d be a difficult spot for a new AD.

Hiring a new AD presents it’s own set of challenges.

Boosters and most of Admin will not allow this to continue much longer. We fired our greatest coach in history to progress. Not plateau.

Could understand if he did because this book is already written. Lowell is a bench warmer under Orgeron.

But he was hired with the idea that there was no rebuild needed, just maintain what was already built, hire a top notch OC, and continue on as scheduled. Whatever expectations they had of O, it couldn't have been THAT. Blown out by Moo State, lost to Troy at home, and potential back to back losses to UF and Auburn.

ETA You got the anchor, tenth.

Consider the level of anger right now and the coaching change hasn't even been announced yet. This is going to fester all offseason.

I said before if we hired an outside, promising OC candidate the masses would be more forgiving if we struggled. As it stands, O and Alleva have gone back on their word to the fans and boosters. Unless we have a VERY successful season there will be hell to pay. The blood is already in the water and the sharks are circling.

That’s a wonderful work of fiction you’ve concocted there from multiple BS sources that has tons of holes and doesn’t make sense given what we know.

that's what makes the whole thing so fricked up. Firing Les was the proper call, but use it as a chance to reboot. You basically extended the Les regime but installed a much dumber, less organized CEO. Makes no sense.

Of course had you gone ahead and pulled the trigger the year before or simply waited until the end of last season, then we're likely not facing this issue because no way in hell Ed even gets more than a courtesy interview.

God I hate Alleva

Hannagriff said they clearly heard Canada yelling and cursing in the press box calling for Brennan during a home game this year. Jives with your reported outburst at Florida.
