Damn that’s brutal. Stuffed animals were OP’s backup plan.

No! There are signs around his habitat that state this. Made the mistake of taking my dog there on weekend and LSU sent out a campus wide email the following Monday. Whoops

Can you bring dogs to see Mike?

Back about 1990ish I took my brother and his daughter out to see Mike in his old habitat that was just wire cage enclosure. It was a cool evening and Mike was pacing the perimeter of the enclosure when a couple pulled up and parked nearby. They had two dogs - one was a pit and the other was something similar, maybe a doberman. While they were getting out of the car Mike heard the commotion and crouched down in a stalker position and waited until they entered the viewing area next the cage and then he let out the biggest roar I have ever heard. Shortly after this those two dogs were whimpering under a concrete bench up against the bushes. Their owners could not even pull them out with the leashes.

If you are tired of your pet, take him to the Vet. Don't feed him to Mike.

If Mike is visible, that’s going to stress the shite out of your dog.

Mike doesn't need to be visible for this to happen. All it takes is a slight shift in the wind. It'll be pretty obvious when the dog gets a whiff of a 600+ pound cat. It wasn't uncommon to see that back during the days before the new habitat was built.

Why would you want to do this?

We were going with visiting family and they wanted to bring a couple of dogs to turn it into a walk around campus.

Ah yea. We've done this a few times with our small dogs. Just take turns seeing Mike while someone stays back with the dogs. We usually keep the pups back near the street(N Stadium about 100 feet away).
He really only responds if he can see the animals. He can smell other animals in the area for a few miles.

Why? You bring a dog to Mike The Tiger's lair, and all he sees is a tasty snack.

You’re the person that brings your dog to restaurants and Home Depot just because it makes YOU feel good. Attention whore. Probably have a lab stuck in a two bedroom apartment all day BUT you LOVE DOGS.
Just stop you’re going to upset one or both of the animals and for what so you can make a cool tik tok?????
