Can we even repair the relationship with the SEC at this point? I see two options if not

1.) Become an independent in football and join the ACC or Big 12 in all other sports. This is what Notre Dame does. They are ACC members in all sports except football. They also play a partial ACC schedule of like 5 games per year in football to help fill out their schedule.
2.) Break away and try form a new Southwest Conference by convincing Arkansas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and the Texas schools to come with us. That would really hurt the SEC and stick it to them.

ACC baseball would not be bad. Basketball is an improvement.

Im not sure the rest of the schools are gonna enjoy tyrannical rule of the conference.
It was meant to be an association in order to make scheduling easier

Texas poisons everything it touches, hard pass on that. The other schools are not going to want to rock the boat on the gravy train that is the SEC.
Independent/ACC/Big 12 are the most likely options.
Big10 is a possible option a few years down the line when all of this cools off (stealing a charter member from them would be a HUGE win over the SEC).

Notre Dame has a TV deal w/ NBC paying it $50,000,000. We do not.

The most likely option is to they stay the course and just wait a few more years until the inevitable super conference formation, and also remember every lowly members like Miss st, Vandy, Arkansas etc if they vote to expel us and then dont lift a finger to help them in the next stage of college football where they will be deemed to small and poor to be accepted in the big boy ranks of CFB.

I don’t understand how they could separate and not continue to pay us a rev share. There seem to be no stated infractions, penalties or opportunities to cure them.
LSU having its own media rights, while still earning a rev share, would be a very unique advantage. Especially while everyone is scrambling to replace LSU on their schedules. Not afraid at all

Texas is the poison pill. They were responsible for the breakup of the old Southwest conference. They were also the reason for Nebraska, Missouri and aTm leaving the big 12. Now they're becoming the cancer of the SEC. Too much money and wanting ultimate power. Bama and Florida are feeling their control of things lessen and are making unholy alliances that will come back to bite them. Auburn, Georgia, aTm, Tennessee, and LSU are next level and will be the first to leave depending on the BS, All are big enough to land somewhere else and not have to bend the knee.

frick the SEC. When we win the SEC, have a grad assistant knock the frick out of Sankey on stage in Georgia. Then get LSU kicked out and have an affiliate pick us up as an Indy.

While we wouldn't get that, if we did what Notre Dame does we could get close. Big 12 membership for all sports except football and a scheduling agreement of 5 - 6 football games a year against Big 12 schools.
LSU receives a slightly reduced but still significant amount of revenue from the Big 12.
For all home games and non-Big 12 road games, get an agreement with CBS. CBS has a 3:30 Big 10 game each week, LSU could follow with a weekly 7:30 game on CBS each week.
If CBS doesn't bite, I have no doubt LSU could get a really good deal with Amazon Prime, Apple TV or Netflix for all home games and non-Big 12 road games.
