0 points was "success"? It ain't 2011 anymore. Alabama already scored more than 10 tonight and put up 29 on us this year.

If Etling could have hit some passes we might have won in 2017. The open receivers were there on the deep balls.

Has to be something both Ole Miss and Clemson do differently to have success against them.

Seems like we should be able to recruit on the same level and have similar success.. especially considering we already have the D.

Passing to open up the run. Quick passes to neutralize the pass rush. Scheming to the strength of your offense. Stuff LSU never does against bama.

Eye candy? How about 6 seconds to throw. Bama, no sacks and not even close

Plus Clemson has a very salty, better than average QB.

He's entering next season as a possible Heisman favorite.

His poise for a young QB is amazing. His physical tools are off the charts.

We got a visit.

This times a million. Clemson OLine is blocking the hell out of Bama’s Dline. We couldn’t block 3 rushers. We couldn’t block 92 at all.

Whether you liked Canada or not, some of our success against Bama when he was here was because of Bama’s D having to deal with so much “eye candy” in the way of motion or different formations. A lot of Clemson’s success so far tonight is due to Bama’s failure to communicate/cover correctly. Negate whatever physical advantage they may have by confusing the hell out of them.

nah

Good offense begets good offense. If you can extend drives, and get first downs, defenses tend to soften up and give up plays.

What Clemson does well is spread out the defense, and use the entire field in the passing game. They aren't fooling Alabama. They are spreading them out and executing.

Clemson is not getting whipped upfront by 3 or 4 guys when pass blocking like LSU did. Our oline couldn’t block their dline.

This is the correct answer. Clemson's O line looks like they actually have an idea who they are supposed to block on any given play and enough athleticism to do it.

Clemson put up 550 yards on bama with an oline with 1 nfl draft pick. Stop acting like Clemson has 5 nfl players.

They are getting to Clemson's qb. He is just making them pay. Its scheme.
Clemson put up 550 on bama with 1 nfl draft pick on the line.

Lsu had 2 and couldnt break 300.

Its amazing how obvious it is but the same excuses will continue to be trotted out.

Didn’t say they have 5 nfl players. They are blocking them we couldn’t. Bama dline destroyed our oline. Lawrence is having a picnic.
