Let me preface this by saying Ensminger would not have been my choice for OC. I would have gone for one of the younger up and coming guys.

What I hate to see is that for a few on here, its become an Ensminger bash fest. He gets lumped by some in the same boat as Orgeron.

Like Orgeron or not, he has not proven he can coach at a high level. He is a great recruiter, but there are legitimate questions about his coaching ability.

Ensminger, on the other had, has proven he can coach. There was instant improvement when he took over the offense last year. Cam Cameron was at one time a highly thought of NFL offensive coach. Ensminger took over for him and with the exact same players, and a week or two to put in his own offense, eclipsed what Cameron's offense was doing.

I think its okay to have wanted another OC, while still acknowledging that Ensminger is a competent coach who bleeds purple.

In a way its win/win. If Ensminger kills it and the Tigers do great, I am happy. if its a disaster, we hopefully get an early end to the Alleva/Orgeron experiment.

I say that not because I dislike Orgeron, I just don't think he is a good enough coach to lead LSU. nothing would make me happier than to be wrong about that.

Congrats to Coach Ensminger on his new job. Even though he would not be my pick, I wont be surprised if he does well. I will sure be pulling for him to prove me wrong too.

Keep reminding people I know that Ensminger is more loyal to LSU than O can ever claim to be. This man has put in the time. effort, seat and tears.

Not sure you read my post. I don't want Ensminger either.

My post was clearly directed at the few people on here who are bashing Ensminger personally and acting like he has zero qualifications.

yeah because we faced the 98th,117th,and 119th ranked run defenses. we ran for 418, 390, and 298 yards.

how did he do against any good defenses?

he isnt qualified to be our OC.

in the last 20 years he has spent more time coaching Highschool than being a full-time oc

I am guessing if we looked at miles offenses and their best running performances we would see similar stats.

There have been many posts on here insulting Ensminger and lumping his coaching abilities with Orgerons.

While not my choice for OC either, Ensminger is qualified to be an OC and is a much more proven coach than Orgeron.

I can be not happy he got the job, but happy for him he did and hope he does well.
