Travis Hunter acts like Deon is his father and found him as some
unknown and not the #1 prospect in the country.

Wanna stop opt outs ? Make the playoffs. It's not hard.

he wanted to play but Kelly took him out after he set the reception record if I remember correctly. BTJ played the whole game.

Kelly let BTJ play but not Malik? Why? Do we know that Cam Ward’s coach didn’t do the same thing after he got his record?

Cam Ward plays tonight to break a NCAA record. And then abandons his team.

It’s called massive insurance policy

The insurance policies aren’t any more massive than anyone else’s. Those polices are notoriously hard to collect in and only help for lost money in the draft. They don’t help for lost money in the long run.

Travis Hunter has already earned like $5 million in NIL in college. Even if the worse case scenario happens and he suffers a career ending injury, he is still set for life financially.

The same can’t be said for all of these guys who are opting out
Not only that, he has a huge entertainment following. I think his youtube channel has over 500k subs. He deleted his Instagram because of all the stuff in the news about his girl, but i think it was over a mill and all it had on it was football pictures and his sponsorships.

Hunter will be alright because he's business minded and goal oriented, however many guys have different reasons for playing, so it doesn't really matter.

What is the fascination of some fans about what other players on other teams do or not do? Each player has a decision for himself that he makes. Good for those players that play. Glad they did not get injured. What does it matter?

LSU player does not want to play in a bowl game that does not mean anything is fine with me. Let the younger players play and see what they got. If the want to play, that's fine. I'm not going to be upset about what a 22 yr old player does for his future. The program is bigger than an individual player.

Did Ward or Hunter make a difference in their team winning?

Anyone getting NIL should have to play in bowls. You’re being paid to play LSUs games, play the games.
dead wrong.

NIL can't be used to pay for play. Now, we know it is being done that way, but legally it can't be.

Ward played until he broke the D1 career passing TD record.

Then said I’m done.

We’ve had players do the exact same thing. It is what it is.

My biggest take from this thread is how you’ve totally ignored the edit feature.

I like your style.

The smart ones opt out?

The “me” first, selfish ones who forgot the teammates that helped get them where they are quit. The probability of injury is no more in a game today than it was yesterday. It’s everything wrong with college sports.
