Then why the frick didn’t LSU coaches tell him to come back and that if he didn’t, FCS TEs would be picked over him?
Christ...this place can be like talking football with my wife. FCS schools turn out nfl-caliber players too. Shocker I know but being a good player at LSU doesn’t necessarily equal playing time in the league

You don't follow recruiting, do you?
This ain't Stanford and we ain't running a 2 TE set. Thad Moss was likely not going to be the starting TE going forward and wasn't going to see a lot of playing time. It was a smart decision for him to get out and get as much for himself as he could now instead of getting buried in the depth chart and forgotten by next year's draft.

He was a rounds 5-7 guy throughout process

How exactly is he getting hosed?

He’s gotten hosed, might as well.
Very good question.
An NCAA exemption would not be unreasonable.

For what? I think it is crazy, but there might not even be football. I think he will be drafted and will make it in the league.

Pissy comments like yours are extending my stay. I've said this numerous times. When I go, it will be my decision. Not because of rude comments from you and your O-Basher friends.

Don'tcha think the most influential advice came from his Father. Mr Randy probably told him to go. He went.

We were so deprived of utilizing the Tight End that the year we finally have a serviceable one getting looks we all think he should have been drafted in the first round

Lmao! Guy dominated the college football world but was gonna be benched. Rantarding at its finest.

Are we melting over a 4-6 rd draft pick not being drafted yet?

How do you know they didn't tell him? Moss basically said that if they won a championship there would be no reason to come back.
I think he is correct.
Hope he goes to Cincy.

I like Thad as much as the next Tiger fan, but he's been greatly overrated by many and already has an undesirable injury history.

I think Moss will get drafted, and I also think he will have a pretty good chance to make a roster with the right team. Yes, he has limitations, but most players do who are drafted on the third day.
I'm sure Trautman is an excellent prospect, but people on this board are acting like they knew this all along. They watched the draft last night and are just repeating what they heard. They've never seen him play. Nothing wrong with that.

This is a horribly embarrassing thread for you. Like retire your username embarrassing. That FCS TE is bigger, faster, and stronger than Moss with a lot more production—he was always going higher than Thad. And like Les said, Moss has been hurt most of his career. After finally having a full, healthy season, it was an absolute no-brainer to leave this year. He’s not getting taller or faster, why in the world risk getting hurt and being another year older to start his career?
He’ll find a spot in league, and if he stays healthy, should have a nice career. But he’s just not a good enough athlete to ever be elite. Which is fine. No shame in that. If he was Thad ROSS, I can’t help but think you wouldn’t be embarrassing yourself like this. And make no mistake, you are. This thread is bad. Real bad.
