There are worst things to be than championship coaches past their prime.

Most will never reach that status in the first place.

I was talking about literally shitting his pants. Les was always a likeable person. He certainly had flaws and was odd.

Paul 1 Championship and 1 lost

-Formula for winning is there, but baseball has become a more level playing field (see Coastal Carolina)
-Got stale

Les
1/2 BCSNCG
2/2 BCS Games (Exluding BCSNCG)
2/3 SECCG
7/11 (All Bowls combined)
114-34 at LSU

Paul
1/2 CWS Championships
5 CWS (At LSU)
4 SEC Regular Season Titles
6 SEC Tournament Titles
11/13 Seasons making the Play Offs
568-238-3 at LSU

Les missed a BCS game his last five seasons and went 2-2 on non-NY6 bowls (fired before 2016)

Paul's last five have been CWS, SR, CWS Runner-Up, R, and SR.

Paul should not be on the same hotseat as Les was, and I am a Mile's support (more or less)

Sure. Les took a program built by Saban and slowly degraded it over 11 years. Paul took a program that Smoke had torn down over six years and built it back up to a national contender.

Maybe someone can answer a recruiting question regarding Paul. It seems just about team we played in the post season has had at least 1 player with 15-20 homers. They most we have by a single player is 12. Im not buying the bat shite anymore other teams are crushing it. So what’s the problem? Paul? Recruiting? Hitting Coach?

Les “Elmer Fudd” Miles eats grass at the start of every game.

The insinuation that Mainieri doesn't care is stupid. He often gets criticized for being too tense. Which is it?

He gets criticized for being an a-hole who doesn’t want his players to have fun. A coach who sits and pouts most of the time, and who has self admitted skipping practices just because in the past, doesn’t seem to show too much “care”

They both bluffed Joe Alleva and jacked ridiculous contract extensions out of him by threatening to leave for destinations that they never really intended to leave for (Les - Arkansas, Paul - Texas).

Les 1 championship and 1 lost
Paul 1 Championship and 1 lost

And both got stale after a few incredible seasons, which our current FB coach has never had. And posters on here get angry about replacing someone, that hasn't had their early year's success

Go figure

One failed to make any significant post season games in his final 5 seasons.

One is a regular in significant post seasons games. Wins some, loses some.

Those 2 should not be in the same sentence together.

Baseball and football are 2 completely diff sports and their coaches cant and shouldn't be compared because of that.

When Paul starts missing the tournament then we can talk

One would pack the house if he were scheduled to lecture on the finer points of ornate prose. The other one wouldn't.

Well Paul pretty much in a super regional every year is like going to a big BCS bowl while ole Les had faded to the Capitol One and Liberty Bowls....
There ya have it..
