Can someone please explain to me the sudden influx of Bengals fans in this state?

You have just as many LSU legends playing for the chiefs, and all the millennial fans only cheering for Burrow and Chase. SMH.

Two reasons...one, Burrow is more recent and the other is that the Chiefs have had more recent success. It's easy to root for the underdog.

Because Burrow and Chase were so instrumental in bringing LSU the greatest season in school and college football history. And the fact that both are very likeable young men.

Think after winning us a title. People want to see Burrow and Chase get a Super Bowl title too. After all Burrow did bring home the Heisman. And they are the under dog.

Joe Burrow is the face of a franchise, not just a player on the team. It's his team. It's much easier to follow a qb than a position player.

Because when is the last time an LSU player won a Heisman trophy? When was the last time an LSU QB won a national title and then was drafted #1 overall? Its an underdog story from a movie script and Joe Burrow is leading a team who hasn’t won shite to an AFC championship his second year in the league.

It’s the first QB to succeed in the NFL from LSU in a very long time. People fell in love with him.

I think most LSU fans would cheer on most former LSU players.

But then there’s Joe Burrow…

Two words: Joe Burrow. If you haven’t heard, he’s somewhat of a legend around these parts. The dumber argument is getting upset and calling people “millennial fans” because they aren’t cheering for the Chiefs. By your logic, they should be cheering for all 4 teams because they all have former LSU players. If someone from Louisiana wants to cheer for the Chiefs, go for it. I am sure several LSU fans cheered for them to win 2 years ago for Clyde. But now they would probably like to see Joe and Chase win it all also. So get over yourself and only cheer for your local team or don’t look down on others who do the same thing you did.

Like most fanbases, lsu fans as a whole are frontrunners. So they want to root for the guy mostly responsible for bringing us a championship

Third reason (Burrow subset): kid had a devastating knee injury last year and has come back to have his team on the threshold of the Super Bowl. Pretty easy to root for him.
