Can someone explain Orgeron's rapid decline and how he left the roster in shambles?

He knew what it took to field a championship team. They weren't all players he recruited, but he did bring in Burrow and Brady and took other measures to field the greatest team in LSU history, maybe of all-time. That season he got the guys to put in the work and instilled discipline. Remember the "guys worked their tails off and no going out" soundbite?

After losing all that talent from the '19 team, did he just realize that rebuilding the program was going to be too much and didn't want to put in the work? Was he just lazy? Felt like he had nothing to prove? Split with Kelly?

Watch rocky 3. He made it and lost the eye of the tiger. Also the good players and coaches left.

He lost a shite load of talent, very important coaches, and had to deal with Covid. Orgeron simply isn’t a good enough coach to be able to deal with all of that in one offseason.

Cooter has led many a baw to the bread line. O’s bread line just happened to come with a 17 million dollar check.

After Ensminger, Brady and Aranda left the brains of the operation were gone. O was exposed after that.

He got lazy, became a womanizer, no Joe Burrow, and Ensminger and Aranda left.

He was a bigger fraud than BK but got lucky with a couple of hires and kept Aranda around just long enough.

Hired someone with connections to Burrow and managed to convince him to come here.

Stayed out of the way in 2019.

Got cocky after 2019 and we saw the real Ed O

Dave Aranda left along with Joe Brady (say what you want, the offense wasn't the same when he left). O made a horrendous hire bringing back Bo Pelini and the QB situation was not good. O also seemed to really fail with success.

Woodward forced this hire.

Ed was vocal about wanting an old school 4-3 DC. If it wasn’t Pelini it would have been some other schmuck

He quit leading people after he won and took his eye off the ball.

When he was on the podium for the NC he was talking to burrow about how he never blinked and stayed laser focused. He then seemingly quit trying.

Jeaux Burreaux carried Zac Taylor to a Super Bowl appearance.

O reverted to his usual self in 2020.

Orgeron is the equivalent of a gas station worker winning the lottery.

He did it and a few years later squandered it all because he wasn’t equipped to handle it.

He did not make the March for BLM on the campus with the players.

Whole lot of distractions

His bungling of the Derrius Guice assault was a black eye for the university too.

Ultimately cost F. King Alexander his job (rightfully so)
