Wow, we have a bunch of bitter "fans" here.
Les Miles has most likely decided he is done with coaching.
Despite all the different criticisms, he accomplished more at LSU than most coaches will in their careers anywhere. Great overall record, national title, multiple conference titles, unparalled recruiting (notice how one of the complaints is how much talent he squandered?). He had almost everything you could want as a head coach, with the exception of a player winning the Heisman.
Won some epic battles in rivalry games vs Bama, Florida and Auburn. Beat down some big media favorites in bowl games. Established LSU as a national brand in it's own right.
He's now approaching retirement age, and seems to be a big family man. He doesn't have the fire Saban has to "keep it running", likely too old to "do it again" like Urban. And BTW he's won games head to head against them both.
He says he wants to coach again... I think he has to, to get the LSU money. After all he did here, I imagine he figures he's earned that as his retirement payment, and frick Joe Alleva for trying to dick him out of it (that's what I think Miles thinks).
I have no doubt that a motivated and younger Miles would be at or near the top of everyone's list. I also have no doubt that the rest of the college football world knows he's unofficially retired, and look elsewhere.

I guess you slept through the miles years. He did not "drub" hardly anyone. He sat on more leads than a lazy salesman.
Ws and Ls is all I care about. I give 2 shits about video game offenses.
BTW - I agree with you. I wanted Miles fired in 2009. I just can’t believe we hired someone worse.

You mistake all of us enjoying laughing at you for misery. But, carry on LOL
You're dumb. I don't have any misery. I'm as happy as a dog with a big fat ham bone that coach O is the head football coach at LSU. While you, on the other hand, are miserable as shite that coach O is the head coach at LSU, and that brings me great pleasure and joy.

Seriously....where is Rick????
When LSU went back up to full strength and started winning again, he blew a gasket and had to be locked up in a mental institution. They were afraid he'd turn into a lunatic like the lunatic that massacred those people in Texas. Don't worry though I hear he enjoying his shock treatments.

He can’t coach. 21-0......Hello.

Are you a fan of LSU or coach O? Be honest now.
Honestly, I'm a fan of LSU and coach O. If I hated LSU like you do, I'd also have to hate Coach O.

There is one thing about you Earle that is always extremely palpable, when God handed out the brains, you got the short end of the stick.

He's not gonna coach again. He's enjoying life with his wife and kids. He's done, and I don't blame him. He's set for life.

He would coach again if offered a major school, he would never accept a lesser school.
Posted on 11/15/17 at 6:34 pm to Thomas Williams
Could Miles coach again? Sure of course he could. It wont be any big p5 schools though. It would likely be at a lowly Mac level or FCS school. I doubt he would be willing to accept any of that, unless he just misses coaching that much.

Miles won because of talent, which he had the most of, yet he still underperformed relative to the amount of talent.
And who is judging this "talent"? Rivals.com or ESPN or yourself?

He's already coach of a major D1 school u idiot

We have no idea how serious he is about the job or if he is just poking around to see if these jobs are the types of position he wants.
Les Miles has most likely decided he is done with coaching.

Well something obviously happened to win the conference and make a national title appearance. Most coaches can't say they have done both
Listen it was time for Les to be fired and we needed to move on. But its a bit ludicrous to call him the worst coach in the world. Les left LSU in pretty good shape despite his record in the end
Not sure why all the hatred for him
