And I've never understood why Archie gets a pass for how much the Saints sucked back in the day. Archie was the quarterback, and if he was as good as everyone says he was, he would have found a way. The game is different, but by the same token, Joe Burrow overcame a crap offensive line this year. And Archie had skill people and a good offensive line around him in '78 and '79 to be be better than 7-9 and 8-8. I've seen enough Archie highlights from back in the day to know he was a part of the problem, not the solution.

They have rightfully made a fortune but nothing that has helped New Orleans (i.e. Drew Brees philanthropy).

At one time, many years ago when Archie was at Ole Miss, the rivalry between the 2 schools was very heated. I remember playing golf in Natchez..Perry Lee Dunn was with us on the first tee. It's funny what you remember..of course I had to mention LSU.

when archie was at ole miss and broke his arm a lot of people (including my dad) felted like LSU really twisted the arm etc and tried to permanently injury him.

On that note, my podnuh's daughter (no pics) comes from a multigeneration LSU family but goes to Ole Miss. Sunday on her Instagram she's wearing a Joe Burrow LSU jersey. No. You turn your back on your roots, you don't get to be a situational fan.

Pretty sure its the Mannings that have always seemed to have an issue with LSU. Not the other way around.
Arch will make the 4th highly rated Manning from NOLA that doesn't even consider LSU as an option. Its one thing for Peyton to go to UT bc LSU sucked at that time & UT was at its peak Phillip Fulmer era. BUT ELI to Ole Miss just made it clear that the Mannings have absolutely ZERO love for the Tigers so I say this LOUDLY & PROUDLY: the whole Manning family can STTDB!!!!
