and Javonte was averaging 16 pts, 40% from 3 that year.

They lost to a really good Michigan team that had Franz Wagner who is going to be a perennial All Star

Ben Simmons 2 points 4 boards 6 assists 4 TO..
Simmons is shooting 43.9% FT this season. That's a full 15% under his (already terrible) career FT average of 59.1%.

And Simmons is only averaging 6 FG attempts per game, nearly half his career average.

He's an absolute head case - knows he can't shoot and is avoiding shooting the ball at all costs.

And getting paid $34M. What a joke.

It’s not even just that.

He’s 6’ 10” and he just doesn’t try to even dunk it make a layup.

That team had no bigs or depth.

Someday we may have a HC that matches Wade in recruiting and coaching but probably not in my lifetime, nor yours.
Think about it.
There is a reason folks in Louisiana are usually at the bottom of statistics.
Simmons was not good enough, neither was Waters or Thomas for you clowns.
Can't wait until Wade gets another chance and you guys start crying.

don't know where you're getting this.

Waters was phenomenal for us. Thomas too - although his FG and 3-pt FG %s were low. But still, he was a great player for us.

Simmons is another matter. Although he stuffed the stat sheet, he didn't lead us to anything, which a supposedly generational talent should do. He flat-out hid in crunch time (see the Marquette and Oklahoma games). So Simmons, for all his stats, was underwhelming, given that he went no. 1 in the draft and had other NBA talent surrounding him.

But you're making shite up about Waters and Cam. We loved those guys.

I thought it would be really good for both of their careers having Simmons and Thomas together. Simmons is so good at delivering the pass to the proper location, but doesn't look for shoot much. Thomas is an elite shooter, but not great at creating his shot.

it's actually the opposite.

Thomas is more of a scorer than a pure shooter. His FG % isn't great.

He's best at creating his shot, and getting to the FT line, where he does shoot a great %.

All great scorers know how to get to the FT line. That’s where it all starts and why he’s so advanced as a scorer.

Also, that he had more talent than some tried to say he had. It wasn’t like he had bottom half talent.
