I don't remember this talk about Jerry Stovall and he actually played at LSU and at a major level and is also from LOUISIANA. Oh that is right, West Monroe is not Cajun or in South Louisiana, so Stovall was not "REALLY" one of us.

The part I found most interesting is O & Wilson are the only big time Coaches from Louisiana in college or pro, and Wilson at UTSA just became fbs... even with all this talent no big time Coaches... Closest thing is Eddie Robinson @ Grambling...

Stereotypes

Stereotypes everywhere.

All that's left for LSU football is comedy now.

What is more stereotypical than a bunch of Rantards spouting negative crap in order to make themselves feel better about their own miserable existences?

The comedy here is the entitlement mentality of people who have done nothing.

Based on my family this is true, everyone loves Orgeron and the hire. I'm the real serious fan of the family and the only one to actually graduate from LSU. While I'm happy with the hire, I really wanted Herman at the time but I won't tell them that.

I'm pretty sure that would be "on" the sideline, and I'm also pretty sure no one thinks they know more about football than O. You've just admitted that you don't understand the criticism.

Can u explain what comedy u speaking of? I'm from Larose, LA born and raised and damn proud of it!! I lived in BR for four years as a student. And yes, came back home with a degree in hand. I wouldn't move back to BR or any other similar city for that matter. I love BR, if we talking about a place to go to school or watch a football game. If we're talking a place to have a family and raise kids, in my opinion there is no comparison. This is nothing against the people that live in BR, so don't get your panties in a wad, it's just a different environment all around. Again, can u explain the comedy part. I think the only ones laughing when Coach O leads us to the ship is the real LSU fans that support him and his football team. GEAUX TIGERS

Cajuns have much to be proud of, but the selection of Orgeron as LSU HC would not be my pick.
If Orgeron had been selected because he was qualified, instead of where he was born, it would would have been a greater accomplishment.

You do? So tell me. Is it that you and others are still pouting because your favorite didn't get picked?
The criticism is precisely another temper tantrum. Give the man a chance before the usual Rant lynch mentality shows up.

If we hadn't hired Orgeron, who should we have hired? Jimbo refused to come and Herman wasn't coming no matter what. Not that I felt comfortable with Herman because he definitely wasn't proven. Nonetheless, who else was their to hire as qualified as Orgeron? Sure he didn't do well in his first coaching gig at Ole Miss, but at the same time, he didn't make any of those same stupid mistakes all over again either when he interned at USC and again at LSU. As far as I'm concerned he improved LSU significantly during his internship and unlike Les Miles at least Coach O can actually put two sentences together. Yep, I do feel like he has put together an outstanding coaching staff. Now let's see if he can put it together and get the job done.

I'm pretty sure he can get the job done. If he can win well then hallelujah. If he can't then we need to take our time the next time and make sure we hire a better coach. Nonetheless, I'd be willing to bet that Coach O will be significantly better than Miles was.

I live in the central part of the state, and I can only speak for me and my friends, but we're excited about the hire, and the fact that his coordinators may end up being one of the best pair in America. Period. Coach O admitted his mistakes, and should be much more at home at LSU than trying to recruit in Ms with a Cajun accent. I think the sky is the limit, and I'm more excited about the state of LSU football than I have been in 10 years. From Cenla,
