Ricks too, but it’s a shame Stingley was “hurt” for several games of the season. He should have been a shoo-in.

I don't know who the DC for LSU will be next season, but he will have two All-Americans at each corner position.

And yet, the people who give out the Groza award don't even think he was good enough to be one of three finalist. Of course, kicking 12 FGs all season...only THREE of which were 40+ yards (ONE over 50) puts you in the top three of all kickers...if you happen to play for the #1 team (Alabama this year).
Point being, I put very little stock into the awards given out at the end of the season. They are generally best player on the best team awards unless a guy on a lesser team has a truly remarkable season.
Tracy had an outstanding year in a season where LSU relied greatly on FG kicking for many of their points (Auburn win, his performance v. UGA standout), but York is WELL on his way to being the best kicker in LSU history...if he isn't already. It got overshadowed, but he made some clutch kicks last season (vs. Texas and Alabama). That kick vs. Florida, in those conditions, was one of the best we'll ever see. He didn't just get a lucky bounce off the cross-bar that eeked through. He drilled one dead center that would have been good from 60+

Whether he’s “hurt” or actually hurt doesn’t matter.
I’m just gonna say it. Stingley is such a waste of talent. He’s always fricking hurt. I’d be surprised if he plays 8 games next year.
