“There is 1 QB with multiple wins over top ten teams: Joe Burrow
There is also one P5 QB completeing less than 47% of his throws: Joe burrow”

Just keep that first thing going. The second thing will get better.

Yeah how many INT’s or turnovers does Joe have, David?

A lot of throw aways and drops. I think he's playing better than the stats indicate. Lsu doesn't need a Aaron Rodgers to compete for championships.

I’m from Missouri... you need to Show Me this is true. Sounds like BS.

ETA: damn... looks true. Can’t find completion %, but you can calculate/extrapolate from passing efficiency stats.
NCAA stats

ETA2: found completion % stat:
NCAA stats

But unless David Hale has more availability to stats than NCAA has made available, he can’t make this claim. The official NCAA stats are only updated through Sep 12 (on their website).

I certainly hope so

Go back to the week before Miami. If someone told you LSU would be at 46% completions what would you have predicted for our ranking?

If Burrow and this offense start clicking in the passing game, this team could be really great. I agree with bombed, they should improve steadily.

When you look at completion percentage as a team stat, LSU is 129 out of 130 with UTEP being behind us.

Georgia Tech looks like the first P5 team at 126, and their QB is at 47.1%.

He is definitely only looking at starting QBs though, not backups in garbage time or anything.

So there is a lot of room for improvement?

"this number is only going to improve every week"

I hope you're right, but it hasn't yet improved in any week.

Yessir.

I'll say it over and over.

A good defense and good punter make 3 and outs FAR less costly and not worth risking turnovers.

This.

He's going to be just fine. Hopefully they WRs can get on the same page with him against LaTech and we'll see the beginning of something special.

Burrow will end up surprising a lot of people.

After re-watching his play against Auburn, one thing really stood out; his timing and touch on crossing routes is excellent. He hit his receivers in stride every time.

A lot of his incompletions were deep shots where only LSU was catching it or nobody was catching it. I counted about 8 of those passes. If LSU comes down with even 2 or 3 of those, Burrow stat's would've looked All-SEC.

Out of his 34 attempts, there were only about 5 or 6 that could be classified as poor reads/throws. Auburn's DBs had great coverage (when they weren't committing PI...)

It’s kinda crazy because we keep winning these ig games and then Sunday you wake up, look at our numbers and realize our offense is kinda terrible.

We have not gained more than 370 yards in a game.

We have a great defense that gives us the short field 4-5 times a game, and we have a kicker that is pretty much money inside 50 and still pretty good outside of 50.

Stats only tell part of the story. We got several big plays down the field to Jefferson and the huge play to Dillon.

I thought he played pretty well. That dart to Sullivan on 4th down was great

I can accept a few dips in percentage points in exchange for no interceptions, but when you rely on your QB to make a 4th down throw to give you a chance to win, with Jeaux Burreux's completion percentage, we were extremely, and I mean EXTREMELY LUCKY, to pull this out. I'd test Miles Brennan before I'd try that again.
