It is in the logarithm. Whatever it tells them they react. Simple formula:).

Some people only under stand that you when you cross the goal line with the ball you get points . These are the people who dont understand the game of football , the nuances of the game escape them !

Love the enthusiasm Joe, but just focus on how to score more than 0 vs the Gumps.

Yeah our QB who had no spring game saying he was out under center for the first time since 6th grade is indefensible.

Especially when they were telling us they wanted to run high tempo “fastball” offense full of RPOs. (At least that’s what E said in his press conference)

That’s what always puzzled me. E and O flat out said they would be RPO heavy and all that jazz in the introductory press conference. But we had Brennan and Narcisse at the time. Either Narcisse was starting or we were about to go heavy 2 QB system because there was no way they installed a heavy RPO playbook for Brennan.

Brennan can run an RPO heavy system. You don’t have to be fast. shite Ohio state ran then last year and Their QB ran like a 5.6

no shite, Sherlock...we've run an antiquated offense for about 20 years, minus 1 season of NFL laden talent...

so, Joe...

E is fixing to get our offense to the next level. He is a very good play caller. Of course, there is a certain group on this board who will never give E or O credit no matter what

What evidence are you using to support your assertion that E is taking the offense to the next level?

What do you want us to give E and O credit for regarding the offensive results thus far? The offense was terrible last season.

What do you consider more important, piling up yards or scoring points?

64th in ppg
74th in points per play
87th OFFENSIVE TDS PER GAME ?
77th in yards per game

Their QB was also built like a linebacker. If the plan was to trot this kid out there and run RPO after RPO then I’d have to question O and E’s sanity.

You obviously don't have a clue as to what you are talking about. RPOs & Zone Reads are not the same which you are lumping both together.

Zone reads are run plays where the QB decides whether to hand the ball off or keep based off an OLB or DE.

RPOs are plays where the quarterback has the option to throw to receiver based on presnap coverage or hand the football off to running back if the offense has favorable numbers in the box to run the ball against the defense.

You can use a zone read look with a RPO where the QB pulls the ball out of the belly of a RB like a play fake but in no shape or fashion are these two aspects of offense the same. Yet, you've spent a large portion of this thread trying to tell others about coaching & offensive philosophy when you don't know shite yourself.

And by the way, Haskins barely ran any zone reads at Ohio St last season because he is slow as shite & mostly a pocket passer. The reason the Buckeyes had offensive success was due to Haskins passing as well the familiarity & continuity of the skill players in that RPO system.

points, period

touchdowns.

that's why when miles came out one year and said we would throw for 250 yards a game.. i was disgusted. i don't care how many yards we pass or run for.. i care about touchdowns.. period.
