Definitely, but they are not working together as a team the way Rice’s first team offense is. Football is about talent, sure, but it’s also about teamwork and assignments. Those last two are what breaks down when you go to your third string. Most of those guys weren't even working on the game plan during the week; they were imitating Rice as the scout team.

We should have pulled Burrow and Brosette after the 1st quarter.

2nd & 3rd units shouldn't get handled by Rice.

You mean guys that rarely play vs guys that have played 12 games for them this year?

Experience helps that’s why they were out there

Coach Eaux emptied the bench baw. I agree with that reasoning. Hey I can tell you this. For sure I enjoyed watching Mountain Man Tyler Shelvin. If he could lose another 20-30 lbs the guy will definitely be an asset on the D/L next season. Dang on one play I recall I saw him collapse the whole left side of the Rice O/L. I mean the guy is a beast....just needs some more speed. Trimming the lbs will help with that. Geaux Big Tyler!

All in all......a lot to be excited about next season. Color me optimistic.

More talent? Yes. Definitely. But much less experienced.

This fan base operates in a fantasy world. They think you can take 11 guys, with the heavy majority of them never playing live together and some of them taking their first career snaps on the college level, and you don't miss a beat. Plug and play.

It doesn't work like that.

the rant at it's best, bama's defense is not that good, they allowed a team to score 20 -30 points, lsu allows points to the worst team in the country, but the 2nd & 3rd stringers were in

The last drive was mostly 3rd team and walk on seniors some plays had the second team sprinkles in it
