Fair or unfair, I haven’t paid enough attention to decide but I do know there are people that will downvote anything nicholastiger posts because he gave up or gives up on the baseball team pretty easily.

We are heading to Chimes for Friday dinner

The gumbo at the Chimes is awful. Order anything but that.

Expect people to be nice. We are 24 point favorites, and it’s not a rivalry.

It’s going to be hot. I’ve felt Pasadena hot. This is different.

There is a spot next to the Greek Theater that the drums do their warm up. It’s stirring.

Be sure to be seated early in the stadium. The pregame is fun.

On the off chance someone “Tiger baits” you, just smile and laugh. They’ll probably offer you a beer.

Just be cool and get in the spirit of things. You will have a blast.

If you are out in Touchdown Village which is where the RV's park you can find the Unsupervised Tailgate party. An old school bus painted purple with a purple and gold coffin they use as an ice chest. Will be some big good ole boys in purple and gold striped overalls. They have been featured on ESPN and love to entertain opposing fans. Troy Thibodeaux is the guy.

Don’t tailgate on the far west side of the stadium. Besides the lots adjacent to the stadium, the campus charm is not there. That area has been built up over the years but is mostly for sports.

I would not say to stay away from the parade grounds. If you want to get good laughs and see how young Southerners tailgate, walk next to it or even through it. I am not saying to stay there the whole time but it’s a fun sight to see. Music, traffic, and socializing a plenty.

You may want to watch them March to the stadium. Starts by the Greek amphitheater and passes along the Indian mounds.

I don’t suggest going to see Mike the Tiger’s habitat until after the game. That whole area between the basketball arena and the stadium is crowded and it’s mostly people who don’t know how to tailgate. Just go to that area for the parade.

Charming tailgating takes place east of the stadium.

A not so secret parking lot (free) is in the Acacia fraternity lot, or even the Sigma Nu lot. Usually you can get a spot there. The walk from there to the stadium along Dalrymple is fun. It’s a long walk but a scenic one.

Try to get there as early as possible. It will be kicking by 10:00.

After the game head to the Chimes or Varsity
The Varsity is a music hall and has a big projector showing other football games.
Have fun!!!

A few other tidbits: other than no glass containers, you can drink & walk around: get go cups from a Circle K or other gas stations. If there are females in your group, bring toilet paper...there are plenty of bathrooms but they get messy & usually run out of paper. Wear anything with UCLA on it & you'll get all the food & drinks you can handle. Postgame as well, many of the tailgates never close till hrs later. Any bags brought inside the stadium must be clear, visible. They check at the gates & any other bags will be confiscated. Obviously no booze in the bags but LSU fans are quite inventive. Going to be hot & humid, shorts & T'shirts ...UCLA...recommended. Ball caps/ sun hats recommended as you mite be sitting facing the sun for a half. Portable ice chests optional, my opinion. Just fill up your go cups, beer, wine, booze before you start & you'll get all the drinks you can handle the rest of the day. Fill up before entering stadium, as concession food is, at best, so so. Again, females, don't wait till you have to "go", as bathroom lines inside get long & again hot.Go early.

As the previous poster said, you need to have a piss plan in place. Here is a map where all the restrooms are located.

You are suggesting to carry a roll of toilet paper around all day? That is insane. Don’t do that. There’s plenty of bathrooms.

I suggest the BRs in Barnes and noble.

This is great advice. If you are curious, open-minded, and have a sense of humor, you will be treated like VIPs.

REMEMBER THIS !!!! LSU Tailgating fans love to banter. So if you have a group of LSU fans picking on you , Holler back for your team. Don't just turn your head and looked pissed.

Come right back at us with your team chants and you will eat free and drink free all day.

Chimes is fun, but we try to make it to Parrains when in town for a game. The chat broiled oysters are amazing. Upscale Cajun place. Everything on the menu is good.

Hydrate well. It’s going to be Louisiana hot on Saturday and you will be sitting in the sun.

That's a lot of California in one place at one time...hope it doesn't effect our culture.
