I still do the "Tettleton" when we are playing Backyard Wiffle ball with the family...

Sometimes I mix in a "The Hawk" Andre Dawson....

Edit - Fixed because I forgot the nicknames of 80s Chicago Cubs....

Canada and E blew O away in their interviews as well. We know how that worked out.

O was put in a "political" bind. That was the ONLY reason he hired Canada. O spent weeks lobbying for the permanent HC job and one of his biggest selling points was that he was going to bring Kiffin over from Alabama as OC. Once that fell through, he knew he had to come through on his promise and hire a marquee name to be the OC. Canada was the hot name at that time. He felt obligated to hire Canada. Not necessarily compelled.

I don't know if Linehan will work out. And I don't think everyone should just TRUST that simply because the hire was may by O that it will 100% work out. That said, he HAS earned the benefit of the doubt. And until given reason to doubt him, I won't.

Yeah, E just lead LSU to the best offense in CFB history.

I am not sure Canada really ever blew O away. He was the hot name and O thought he needed a "hot hire". I'm pretty sure O knew he made a mistake very early on.

I was An O hater, but he’s 100% proved me wrong.

And so I give Him the benefit of the doubt big picture. If we have a bad year I’m not gonna argue to fire him. He has bought himself 4-5 years.

But I may Question a few decisions in those years.

Idk I hand Say this is a bad hire. It’s doesn’t amaze me but it’s growing on me.

Well, duh. The only people that don't seem to get it are some of our own fans lol. They're too busy listening to other teams fans that hate LSU with a passion and saw us win a title last season with one of the best teams and coaching staffs to ever do it. So, of course they're going to hope like hell and try to speak into existence our demise. They're talking shite trying to convince themselves that LSU is going to fall off when they know it isn't going to happen. Hoping upon hope by thinking if they criticize lsu and orgeron and the hires that it will come true. They're fricking scared and they should be after seeing what orgeron and this program have become in short time here at LSU. They know the recruiting, resources, and support this program has and they know our potential. Theyre scared shitless of LSU. Geaux tigers.

For those unaware, Feldman and O are very tight. Feldman was the one who first reported the Brady hire

Feldman wrote Meat Market. He was basically a fly on the wall for O’s entire recruiting process. Super interesting and an addictive read. I recommend it it.

I seem to remember celebrating a national championship and enjoying arguably the best team in CFB history 31 days ago.

What were you doing?

Waiting to pounce.

You people are suckers if you think this entire fanbase is on-board with LSU and the especially the coaching staff.

You can close your eyes and think everything is just hunky dory but the Cockroaches are there. They will come scurrying out of the woodwork at a moments notice to attack. Full on attack.

Rickdaddy has been quiet, not gone, just quiet. Freauzen showed his face to bitch about this earlier this week. He's been a mainstay on the Movie/TV board since LSU started looking like they would win it all.

These guys are here and desperate to bash LSU back into last decade. Once they get an opportunity you will see this. They will come out of the darkness with the fervor of an Alabama fan on a 2-year losing skid.

I never thought Ensminger was going to work out either, and it wouldn’t have if they didn’t go get Burrow and Brady. Orgeron got the young minds with the analyst roles and he got the experienced Linehan to compliment Ensminger. Nothing needs to be reinvented, but we need development of the QB and experience in game planning. Not every 30yr old analyst is Joe Brady and not every QB is Joe Burrow.

Here's how I see this season and I've already been downvoted for saying it previously.

We return 3 starters on offense (Marshall, Chase and Deculus). We return 18.8% production on defense (I can search the link if requested). We are breaking in a new DC and scheme and lost Brady.

I doubt we make a CFP run this year, but it could happen. We have talent, but lack experience in critical positions.

Some will say I'm being negative. Some will say it's an excuse or I'm providing cover for Coach O. It's simply a fact we will have a hard time getting anywhere close to last season.

I see 2021 as the opposite. I don't think Brennan declares in 2020 and has an exceptional SR year. We will be a veteran team with a stable staff and likely favorite to make the CFP. Hopefully at least one of Marshall and Chase come back for their SR season, but even if they don't we will have stud WRs to go with Gilbert at TE who I see as a future Top 10 pick.

At this point you’re seeing bugaboos that aren’t there.

The only people doing this are fans of other teams. There may be some posing as LSU fans, but what LSU fan wants the team to go back to the last decade? There are none.

Even the skeptics (myself included) are all over this board gladly admitting that O has won them over.

Opps you are correct...

Which by the way. Along with Dante Bichett, Andres Galarraga is one of the greatest "baseball" names.

I agree.

I think It will surprise people but I’m more worried about the defense next year than the offense.

Sure it would be insane to expect the output from last year, but we return Chase and Marshal and Deculus.

Rosenthal and Ingram have started games. Hines has a few starts. And the. We’re looking at 1 guard to replace. Tons of talent at WR. TE and RB. 4th year player at QB.

Defense is switching schemes while losing a frick ton of starters.

The Aranda interview is great too, I would recommend a listen for anyone he hasn’t heard it yet. He talks about the offense a good bit and believes Arik Gilbert is a generational talent.

If you choose to believe this, have fun with that. I’m too busy enjoying the success of the program to waste any more time arguing with people like you.

You do you. I do like that you’ve continued to start informative threads beyond football since last month. I’m actually enjoying those too.

I question nothing anymore when it comes to the football program under O.

Also, the blueprint for the offense is there. After last season, we will not abandon it, obviously, until some defense somewhere figures out how to stop it.

One more item to note: Just bc a guy didn't succeed in the NFL doesn't mean he won't in college.
