Just hope he isn't a tuck and run QB everytime there's remotely a pocket breakdown. we have too much talent to just run away at any sign of pressure

This is such a dumb comment. The dude has legit talent. Az. St. was a complete dumpster fire last year with all new/young WRs who were constantly hurt, so there was no continuity there to go along with the many other issues they have. If he manages to beat out Brennan, then I'd feel pretty good about our QB situation because Brennan has a good arm and throws a great long ball.

So I’m guessing he won the second scrimmage. Gonna be a fun off season :)

I've watched Brennan enough to feel he'd be successful as our starter. If Kelly, Denbrock, and Sloan conclude Daniels or any other QB gives the Tigers the better shot at winning, I'm all in!!

And here we are, all making assessments on a kid we have never laid eyes on, being coached by coaches we dont know anything about, running an offense that we dont even know what looks like. Yet here we are in APRIL predicting playing time this Fall.

And we already like the back up better.

Basically said our stud WR corps would be wasted if Daniels is the starter..... You don’t need a running QB when you have WR talent. You need a QB to get the ball to that talent

Oh well if a high School coach says it…. (Insert eye roll)

When Jayden had NFL caliber receivers in ‘19 he lit it up and single handedly knock Oregon out of the playoff picture

This is what you have to hope, but....

This is a legitimate fear.

Well that’s what what he is....

He threw 17 TDs to 2 Ints. in his true freshman year when he was the 1st QB in Arizona State history to start the season as a true freshman. He threw for over 400 yards when they upset highly ranked Oregon (who finished at #5 that year). So he is not just a guy who tucks and runs, but when he does, he gets a lot of yards at a 4.3 ypc average (though he ran for 6+ ypc and 5+ ypc the last two years).

He ran a lot last year because their WR core was all new and completely depleted along with having a poor pass-blocking O-line.

The SEC defenses are tough, so no one can say how he'd do against them at this point, but LSU has a hell of a lot more weapons than AZ St. too.

Or lose to Mississippi state & Missouri like LSU did last time Brennan started games. When he was terrible on 3rd downs and could win either game with a big turnover differential in LSUs favor

Only if Brennan does something stupid immediately before Fall Camp again and gets injured.

Jayden Daniels would fall apart against a BIG BOY SEC Defense.
